CSX Illinois Subdivision (LEGACY VERSION)

UPDATE 1: Olney to Flora

Its Here Finally after 2 or 3 months, Part 1 of the Illinois Subdivision is here. From Washington, Indiana to East St. Louis Illinois, the CSX Illinois Subdivision was once an important route with over 20 trains a day. in the fateful year of 2014 though, CSX Cut the route due to declining business and also declining traffic, preferring the St. Louis Line Subdivision from Conrail to the north. In this adaptation of the route, you can reactivate the mainline running CSX trains between Washington, Indiana and East St. Louis once again.

Update number 1 has dropped expanding the layout from Olney Illinois to Flora Illinois, including the famous Flora Depot and the abandoned Flora yard, which used to serve the Illinois Subdivision and the long abandoned B&O Shawneetown branch.


This means the layout will not be updated anymore due to issues trying to release the Flora to Salem Update, so I will be releasing a new version of the Illinois Subdivision sometime soon. Reasons why this is going legacy is explained below

The reason why I am doing this is because the original version had 3 major issues

1. Scaling between Cities and towns was off and mad the map more laggy
2. too many mods increasing the size of the map by way too much
3. The original map was way too laggy and was hard to release the Salem update, so I gave up after many crashes trying to release it.

Some other issues were
4. unnecessary tracks
5. No constant train lengths making trains running into each other an issue
6. Only One directional operation

So, this new version will try and fix most of those issues, while being better than the original. And no, the original Illinois Subdivision will not be taken down from the Steam workshop. It will remain up, but only as a legacy version of the Layout.
