Description
Like many people out there I miss the crunchy old GoldSrc sounds from Half-Life and Counter Strike so I decided to make a sound pack that brings that classic sound back to L4D. Thousands of sounds replaced with 11025Hz variants taken and resampled from various sources.

Sounds I need to replace: machines, materials, levels, random_amb/random_animals

Audio Sources

- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
- Call of Duty 2
- Left 4 Dead 2

Some sounds are earrape static even with sv_pure 0

I took the time to decompile the vpk from that addon you sent and take a look at the sounds it replaces and yes, it replaces the majority of sounds that GoldSnd also replaces. So, it will conflict.

Just something to ask, is it possible it conflicts with this mod which adds in the original l4d1 ambient noises? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2635475152 I didn't notice it directly with the main menu mod screen but I'm unsure if either would of overlapped each other in game

no i mean making it look like halflife 1 not sounds but still thanks for responding to the community and me.
