No, Shang Tingzhu doesn't leave the party IF you recruited her after the Nanjiang arc.
Yes this guide is using the Yia Vang route.
This game has so many characters and options that a guide like this almost feels necessary to get a good chunk of the content!
At this point if you dont bring her to Wudang she basically stays in your party and is kinda OP .
The craziest thing is that the designers planned this as having Shang Tingzhu in your party while you go on the various early mid game side-quests(which you normally would never have been able to due to her late game companionship status) like the Frosty Condor's bitter water village quest chain will now give you additional unique dialouge and new short cut solutions and insight to some of the problems these side quest line throw at you. Makes perfect sense since having the best doctor in the Country on scene could definitely affect some changes to the situations involving poisons and fatal injuries lol,
