"So I reach the end of the Gears of Sorrow Dungeon. Before entering any battles I have to deal with the usher - presenting me with an interesting choice. The Zap Glove I've been powering up can be given as a gift - which upon being given will give me a buff for the upcoming fight. Alternatively I can decline and keep the Glove to use as well.

Because I'm not confident I built up the Glove very well I opt to give it to the usher and precede inside to the second phase. After some dialogue I have a puzzle to deal with - helping me to inflict damage prior to actually fighting the boss battles. While I do this I have to contend with minions but they aren't really much of a threat.

Upon completing the puzzle I have to deal with the Crazed Doctor. Had I kept the Glove it would have been useful here as he has a weakness to it - but really he isn't that hard to fight so I put him down. Then comings the Final Boss, the Mechanical Bride. She is arguable harder, but because I gave up the glove I'm really resistant to a lot of what she can do, and slowly take her apart.

Having cleared this stage I move on to chat with the NPCs back in the Hall of Reincarnation, buy some more upgrades, and leave for now."
