This is a guide for those, who would love to work themselves up for the silver trophy in Phasmophobia, this guide is a NON-HUNT dedicated guide.

Intro
I haven't found any guides yet relevant to the Silver Trophy within Phasmophobia unfortunately, and trust me when I tell you, receiving the medal takes a ton of RNG working in your favour, as I for myself got myself the Silver Trophy literally by today (03.09.2023).

So let's hop right on into the guide!
Your Gear
Gear is important, just make sure you don't waste your money on gear you get anyway (EMF Reader, D.O.T.S., Book, Spirit Box) as you will be doing a No Evidence run with this guide.






- x1 Parabolic Microphone
- x1 Salt (Preferbly Tier II)
- x1 Crucifixes (Best if Tier III)
- x1 Incense (Smudge Sticks)
- x1 Lighters (Preferbly Tier II)
- x1 Firelights (Best if Tier III)
- x1 Tripod (Preferbly Tier II)
- x1 Motion Sensor
- x2 Sanity Medication (Best if x4)
- x1 Photo Camera

You won't need more other than those, obviously, this is depending on your ability to provide the items.
Your Additional Objectives
Remember that we don't want to get too close to the ghost in case if it hunts without a crucifix in range, as well, we try to preserve your sanity as much as possible, to decrease the likelyhood of a Deogen rushing into your face whilst you're hiding, the objectives that you will be trying to get are the following;

Cleanse the area near the ghost using incense

The affecting range is 6 metres, in case if you're unlucky and your ghost is roaming or the ghost room is the size of the Church (Or bigger), your Motion Sensor can help you, as you have placed it up, you go in with the Incense, and "Smudge" the ghost once you see, that he interacted with the Motion Sensor.

Get a photo of the ghost

Self explainatory, be aware where he spawns, as well, keep in mind that the ghost picture CAN be a one star only, as well, it's part of the challange either way.

Detect paranormal activity with a EMF reader

Go in, yeet the EMF in the room, leave.

Have the ghost blow out a fire light

Same, go in, throw down, leave.

Detect a paranormal sound with the Parabolic Microphone

Turn on the Parabolic, and wait about 30 seconds for the ghost to tell you his lifestory, just remember, that;

A: If you get a scream, it is a Banshee
B: If your sanity drains like hell, you may want to put a Moroi into consideration after the interaction
C: If the ghost talks faster via Parabolic (Instead of 30 secs, you get them like 20-25 seconds) you likely have a Myling

Have a Member of your team witness a ghost event

Easier said than done, my last ghost did 5 events within the period of nine minutes, then again, there were ghosts that take their time and never actually do it (No matter how much you swear at them, tested it, won't work)

Other ones also work, depending on what your preferences are, I for myself avoided the ones that involved hunts as a whole (Usage of Crucifix, Incense, etcetera)

Over to the most important part, after the Ascension Update of Phasmophobia came around, things have changed, being, that Psycho's Setup does not work no more.

Try these, worked for me!

- Friendly ghost: Off
- Grace period (s): 0
- Hunt duration (s): Long
- Kills extend hunts (s): Don't matter
- Evidence given: 0




- Setup time (s): 0
- Weather: Fog / Windy
- Doors starting open: Low
- Number of hiding places: None
- Sanity Monitor: On
- Activity Monitor: On
- Fusebox at start of contract: On
- Fusebox visible on map: Off
- Cursed Possessions Quantity: 1
- #Cursed Possession: Random

This as a whole sums you up with a strong x10.02 multiplier, showing you the silver skull right next to it.

Obviously, if you're confident, you can also lower the event frequency, turn off the sanity monitor, have the fusebox off, etcetera, this is solely from my best setting, avoiding hunts, keeping sanity up, and having time to hear where the ghost is.
Gameplay Example
Here is a basic example, of how I approached the ghost room, this section can be skipped to the next one without missing out important informations.

Load up Sunny Meadows Mental Institution, once in, check the additional objectives on the corkboard, and see if you have the easy objectives, if you don't, and you don't want to possibly initiate a hunt, press "J" and leave the game, once back, open "Singleplayer" and restart the process until you eventually get the easy objectives.

Once you got the easy objectives, take x2 Sanity Medication, depending on the tier, you may have to wait a few seconds to get up to 80% sanity, grab yourself the Firelight (TIER III ONLY!), a lighter and a crucifix, preferbly take the key, and enter the place.

Try locating the ghost by depending on your hearing mostly, whilst roaming through sunny meadows, you will hear ambient sounds (Screaming, Bumping, etcetera), do not let that mislead you, the only sounds that are relevant to you, are items being thrown, or doors opening/closing, as well, turn on the lights, and try to locate the fusebox whilst your at it.

Once you located the ghost, throw down the crucifix in the middle of the room, and leave, you will be walking alot, so better haven't skipped legday, unless you don't mind your sanity draining, then obviously you can just leave your firelight and lighter in the room, and roll back to the truck to get "Non-Evidence items".

Grab preferbly either those items:

- Video Camera on Tripod
- Salt
- Parabolic
- Incense (If Objectively required)
- EMF Reader (If Objectively required)
- Motion Sensor (If Objectively required)
- Photo Camera
- Crucifix (If big room)

Do what you'd normally do with the equipment, set it up, salt on the ground, video camera in a corner and head back in the truck, all details upon why come in the next section, so don't worry.

Make sure you got your photo camera always with you, in case if the ghost does do an event, you want to ensure that you're ready for the image, and not think to yourself "Well, if I wouldn't have let the cam in the bathroom..."
Identifying the Ghost / Spreadsheet
Some ghosts are easy to identify, others, could be a pain to do so, therefore, we have gotten ourselves all of the luxurious dead giveaways.

One of the hardest to identify in a non-hunt / non-evidence run, nothing in specific can be noted about him.




The Wraith is a roaming ghost, meaning that this one can be identified easily if a Banshee & Phantom are excluded from the possibility protocol, if your firelight turns off relatively far away from the ghostroom, you might be dealing with one.




Make a picture of him, he won't be on it, however, the Journal will still show it as a "Ghost Photo", if you got a ghost picture without a ghost, there is your Phantom.

LOOKING AT THE GHOST WILL DRAIN YOUR SANITY X2 DURING A EVENT!




Loves throwing stuff around all the time, opening and closing doors, you name it, as well, easily to note him in your book if you pile up objects and everything is flung around at the same time.

EVERY PROP THROWN IN SUCH EVENT DRAINS YOUR SANITY TO 2%!




Loves screaming into the parabolic microphone, if you hear one scream at you, it ain't your stepmother!.




Cannot turn off the fusebox, no matter if it's in the ghost room as well or on the other side of Mars, occasionally decreases your sanity by 25% if you, the fusebox & the ghost share the same room for a certain period of time.




Tends to turn off the light you literally just turned on, you may didn't even move your mouse courser yet, and it's again off, could very likely be a Mare.

Mostly, a mare tries to turn the light off as quick as possible, or busts them, but don't let that misguide you, I've had mares never turn off lights, instead, they turned them on.




Outside a hunt with no evidences, it ain't possible to identify one as a Revenant shows it's ability only if a hunt is happening (Very slow when it doesn't have LOS of you, increases to 3 Metres per second if it has LOS of you).




Shadey business, hard to identify, the only way to possibly identify a Shade is during a ghost event, as it will be rather translucent, yet, still not a definite confirmation.

If however you notice way more ghost events whilst your sanity is lowering, it could be one.




Risky, as a Demon does not necassarily always hunt, so even after 20 minutes, it could've chosen not to hunt... then again, it may do it on minute one as you're in the house, if the front door shuts and locks after you just entered, you likely deal with a demon




Yureis are somewhat easy to notice, as they will drain your sanity every time by 10-15% everytime it fully closes the door whilst you are nearby, if you have the luck and the ghost is at the front door, and it shuts/moves/opens the front door, there's your Yurei!




Loves to show itself, in my run I've had him do 5 Ghost events in less than 10 minutes, if you notice alot of ghost events, you might deal with an Oni

Onis also cannot create those smoke-cloud events, meaning, if you had 5 ghost events or more that were showing the model of the ghost, it increases the likelyhood

As well, a Oni is easy to identify, if he runs into you during a ghost event, and screams as he reaches you (and vanishes), he can drain your sanity to 20% in a instant




It tends to be really active if you tell it your lifestory, not because you're boring, but because it isn't the most social ghost, meaning that if you talk too much, it might will try to kill you, so better have a crucifix on you!




A Hantu has double the chance to turn off the fusebox, therefore, it cannot just turn it on.




One of the hardest ghosts on no evidence runs, the only thing you may can take note of the Goryo, is that he doesn't travel/roam far from his favourite room, nor can change it.




Notably are the amount of paranormal sounds that come through when using the parabolic microphone.




Will hunt once it blew out three flames (Spamming lighter will not work), so if it blew three flames and a crucifix was used, you likely deal with one, your sanity does not matter for this instance.




Double interactions within 16 metres around the ghost room, so keep your eyes out for double interactions! As well, tends to leave a tiny curve on the activity graph when it does something.




A Raiju is hard to notice without hunts and evidences, nothing can be mentioned here unfortunately other that it can hunt at 65% Sanity if your electronics are nearby.




Also hard to notice without the need of a hunt, as the Obake shapeshifts it's model during a hunt, so if it's a Granny starting the hunt and during the hunt it turns into a baby, it is one of them




Check for a ghost orb floating all about, possibly the easiest to nail down.




When talking through the parabolic, keep your sanity you left off with in mind, as you were cursed upon it talking to you, increasing the sanity drain of your's times two, only medication can remove the curse.




Again once of those ghosts you cannot just identify without a hunt, as it's only known for it's hunting ability, it knows where you are, all the time, however, slows down about 5 metres before you to 0.4 metres the second (Snailspeed)




Early hunter if your sanity is 75% given you start with 80%, other than this info, nothing can really be determined, as the Thaye is also a ghost that needs to hunt to "possibly" identify it.
Final Words
This is all easier said than done, it took me about 2 weeks to have the ghost do my work, I've had scenarios where I thought that it must be that ghost! And then it wasn't

Just remember that hunts are very less likely, as long as you don't forget to take the sanity medication at the very beginning, keep your ears and eyes open, god knows where granny ghost is hiding.

These settings helped me to get the trophy really quickly, great guide :) I did like to walk in with zero and let it hunt first before taking the meds though!

I told my ghost on the spirit box that I like her, she tried to hug me. I told her on the spirit box that it was rude to just lunge in like that. Then she killed me.
