HOW TO FIX "YOUR CHOICES WILL BE AUTO-FILLED" 2023

If this is still a problem as of August 2023, here are two easy steps to fix it.

The Problem

If you finish Episode 1, and something comes up that says, "Your choices will be auto-filled" that is a problem. THE problem. And what it affects is this; Say you accidentally destroy Bob maliciously. He should be dead in the next episode. But he isn't, because of the dumb problem, which is the one being discussed here. Your choices will be auto-filled with a pre-constructed choice "set", if you will, effectively replacing your choices. That's bad because your choices won't matter, and that's the whole idea of the game. Read on to learn how to fix it.

Step One

Turn off Steam Cloud Sync. It's in the Settings, under the Cloud section.

Step Two (my secret sauce)

Turn on Offline Mode. It is found under the Steam section. You will not get achievements, but if you have cool friends, they will still believe you.

Step Three

Go into the game and start over to Episode One. (You may not have to do this)

Conclusion

P.P.S. I found that you do not have to be in Offline mode the whole time, only when the episode finishes. If you have story sense, you will know when the story is reaching its conclusion.
