How To Upload Artwork (8/11/2023)
By Uso
The Artwork tab has been disabled - worry not, there is a way to bypass it and upload anything you want as a Screenshot!
It is very simple to circumvent this, follow along closely and you too will be able to post artwork!

This guide will cover 2 methods of uploading your Artwork, plus an additional third that I didn't know about. If the first one does not work, please view the second and third methods at the bottom of the page. One of them is basically guaranteed to work.

Step 1 - Taking Screenshots
First, you will need to take a couple of screenshots ingame. Do this by pressing your F12 key by default.
You will need an equal number of screenshots to the amount of artwork you plan on making, so take a couple if you want to upload a bunch!

In order to access your screenshots, navigate like so. This tab is located in the top left of Steam.
Step 2 - Accessing Screenshots on Disk
Now that you are in your Screenshot Manager,
you should obviously see all the screenshots you took while you were in-game.
Now that we're here, you need to press this folder-shaped button that says "Show on disk", like so.
If you have done it correctly, you should see something very similar to this.
Step 3 - Replacing Files
This is the tricky part. In order to upload your very own artwork, you must use one of the screenshots you have taken. If you like your screenshot, be sure to back it up before proceeding! Do not move the original screenshot from this location - instead, copy its file name.

On your desktop, or elsewhere, you should have a piece of artwork you have created - be absolutely sure the filetype matches, or this won't work - this can be changed in any paint program by saving it as a different filetype. Most Steam screenshots will need to be in the .jpg format.

Now that you have your file name in your clipboard, rename your original artwork to the exact same name as the original screenshot on your disk, like so.

With this new renamed file, drag it into your screenshots folder on your disk.
When prompted to replace the image, say yes. This will get rid of the original screenshot, so back it up if you want to keep it!
Step 4 - Uploading Your Artwork
If you have followed all the steps correctly, now you will be able to upload your screenshot as an artwork! Be sure that it looks the way you want it to before proceeding. To check, doubleclick the image - this is how it will appear in the hub and how others will see it.
All that's left to do now is to give it a description - this can be blank and press the Upload button. Depending on the file size of this image, this may take longer than usual.

There may be a file size limit, but I've never managed to incur this myself. There are plenty of ways to compress an image while maintaining the desired quality, so if you run into this issue, don't give up!
FULL WORKAROUND - FOR ISSUES
There is a chance that the first method may not work for you for an innumerable amount of reasons.
In case this happens, there is a workaround.
You will need to download a program named SteaScree.[steascree.download]

This program functions as a sort of third-party screenshot manager.
Most people prefer not having to download an .exe from a website, but this program does work as an efficient last resort if there are errors or problems with your image that can't be solved by normal means.

Simply download the program or install it - it works the same both ways.
If you have set it up correctly, you should see something similar to this.

Once here, take note of the code next to Overwatch 2®.
This is required to specify the game you are uploading content to. If this isn't visible to you by default, please copy it here.

2357570

You must have played or otherwise have had the game on your account - otherwise, this won't work.
Once the game has been set, you simply need to Add screenshots to queue... - this is where you add the pictures you want to upload - and they will show up in the Screenshot queue. After that, Copy screenshots to game directory should have lit up - press this, then you will be able to press Prepare screenshots for uploading...
At this point, you must close Steam entirely so the program is allowed to add the image to your screenshots. If you do not have steam closed before continuing, this won't work!
After this step, re-open Steam and navigate to your Screenshots tab once again like before.
Upon navigating to your Overwatch 2® tab, you should see the new screenshot you added. Upload it, and you should be good to go!
UPDATE: Method 3
If you're still having trouble, there is another method to upload images that I didn't know about. I take no credit for this information.

Please leave feedback and share your artwork in the comments, and show this guide to anyone you know who really wants to upload Artwork but can't due to the restriction on this specific game.

In case you wanted it, the artwork I used in this guide as an example can be found here.

Yesterday, almost all works of art were banned, for each work you will receive a community ban day, this is not subject to appeal. Blizzard removes it itself , as well as manuals and discussions . Be careful, my friend, such guidance was forbidden.:aunope::terminal:
