To edit the crosshair for each Hero in Overwatch 2:

  • Click on the "Menu" or on PC press "Escape".

  • Select "Options".

  • Select "Controls".

  • Navigate to the right side of the screen and select the "Change Hero" orange box beneath the "All Heroes" portrait box.

  • From the Select Hero menu, choose the Hero whose crosshair you wish to customize.

  • Customize the Hero's crosshair under the Reticle menu by selecting the "+" beside "Advanced".
Overwatch 2 Best Crosshair Settings
Most pro-level Overwatch 2 players agree that the best crosshair setting is a small reticle with high contrast to the in-game environment. How you customize your crosshair in Overwatch 2 is largely up to preference, however.

The best crosshair settings can also differ between Heroes. For instance, a Hero such as Reinhardt who relies on a melee weapon might not benefit from a small crosshair. In fact, Reinhardt's default crosshair setting is none at all!
What Are the Best Crosshair Color Settings?
When picking what color you want your crosshair or reticle to be in Overwatch 2, you must consider what color options provide the strongest contrast. A crosshair that strongly contrasts against the environment or Heroes you are targeting will make it easier for you to practice your aim.

Neon Green, Magenta, or Cyan are great crosshair color options in Overwatch 2. These are the crosshair colors that most pro-level Overwatch 2 players tend to use, as they stand out against both dark and bright Map environments, and do not blend in when aiming at enemy Heroes.

While the color you customize your crosshair is purely up to preference, White and Black can make it difficult to tell your reticle apart from the environment depending on the brightness of the current Map. On the other hand, while a Red crosshair might seem like a good option, if your Enemy UI Color is set to the default Red, your crosshair will blend right in with the enemy you are attempting to target.
What are the Best Crosshair Settings?
For Heroes where precision accuracy is key, a small crosshair is ideal. The Type of crosshair you choose is entirely up to your preference.

Here are three examples of Crosshair types and settings that pro-level Overwatch 2 players prefer:

The standard "Crosshairs" style reticle is widely used among Overwatch League professionals, and while individual settings for Color, Crosshair Length, and Center Gap tend to vary from player to player, you generally want to customize your Crosshair to be small with no center dot.

The Circle reticle is a great Crosshair choice for Heroes who require precise accuracy, such as Widowmaker, Hanzo, or Cassidy. Setting your Crosshair to this Type and Crosshair Length makes it easier to view your target behind the Crosshair, therefore improving the precision of your aim.

Similar to the style of the Circle reticle, customizing your Crosshair as the Dot type reticle with a size of eight ensures that you can see the enemy Heroes you are targeting behind your Crosshair. Choosing a Color with strong contrast, such as Neon Green, Magenta, or Cyan, is especially important with a Reticle this small.
Should You Turn Show Accuracy On?
Generally, you want to have Show Accuracy set to "Off" in your Reticle settings. What this setting does is adjusts the size of your crosshair in real-time to show you the "spread" of your weapon.

However, turning Show Accuracy "On" can be useful to new players in Overwatch 2. Having this setting on will teach you which Heroes have weapons affected by spread, which will impact your accuracy.

Having Show Accuracy "On" is also a great tool for Heroes with shotguns or other weapons with a wider spread, such as Roadhog, Reaper, or Junker Queen. For the best results, consider adjusting your reticle to the following settings:
