Game size
Game size: around 37.52 GB under Windows. Generally DLCs doesn't influence the game size (except the DLC with the OST and artbook), they're already included (but not active until you buy them).
Order and notes
The Wildcards - from the start, if you want to play as a new race and/or as a new class. Otherwise just before/after getting the barony/capital, if you want a new companion(s) (and their quest).
Beneath the Stolen Lands - starts somewhere around the Troll Trouble main quest. Depending on your playstyle, you may find the time for it at the long break after the Season of Bloom.
Can be also played as a standalone rogue-like version from the new game main menu. More bugged than the main game.
Varnhold's Lot - for the story continuity it's best to do it at the start (of a little before) of the "The Varnhold Vanishing" quest (the quest will be under the chapter in the Journal with the same name). The quest starts just after the end of an Ancient Curse 3 (chapter starts before the Curse deadline).
DLC is played through the New Game menu, you will be asked in the main game to import the save from Varnhold's Lot if you (re)visit the throne room just after the quest starts (so save after you receive the quest and before changing the location, just in case).
