Description
Add custom "modded" Tiers for Mercs!
It should automatically add in the tab, mercs that were created using this mod.

The mod may require restart of the game on install! (At least it does for me)
As far as I test, it is working on already made and released modded mercs by simply updating their tier.

If you do use that mod for your custom AIM, do as follow:

Mod Editor (explained in picture):
-New
-Unit
-Customize your Unit but in the "Hiring" part of the customization, set the "Tier" value to the modded value you wish: ModTier

The units should show in the given tabs. If a tab doesn't work, it means no merc exists in said tab.

For "manual" edit of code:
On the LUA object of your unit of type "UnitData", set the Tier to the tier you wish to use as follows:
For a modded unit:
Tier = "ModTier",


Possible future updates:
-Change of names of tabs given feedback
-Adding custom image for the tab
-Suggestions

Discontinued the use of this mod for my mercs cause the dependencies system isn't working well and that mod is odd to use. I'll leave it on for modders to use as example.

Up to date with 1.1.0.
Restart the game once you activate it as it may load wrongly otherwise.

As an update to my previous message, I released a mod to add tags to mods.

I made a personal mod that makes me able to add categories to my mods. It is not something I will publish though as I am not author of the code I used. You should check and ask on the JA3 official discord, modding section.

Otherwise, wait for the official modding tool which should be released sooner or later. Devs are working on it.

I'm curious how you managed to get your mods into the workshop categories. The mod editor doesn't seem to support it, and they aren't stored in the metadata files either.

This mod doesn't apply automatically to all modded mercs, it depends on the modder to use it or not. I can check for your John Wick mod but I can't be sure it uses it

I have John Wick as a custom merc in AIM but I can´t see any ¨mod tab¨ in that website. Is this normal? I remember that I saw that tab when I installed this first time but now it´s gone.

Game creates tabs automatically when you create a new tier.
