The point of this guide is to teach you how to call a vote, in case you need to, for example, kick a bot.

Reasons to call a vote

The following are example reasons for calling a vote:

• you need to kick someone

As you can see there are many. In the past there were even more but with some update Valve limited the voting system on their servers to just kicking people.

Calling a vote

To call a vote navigate to the main menu (press escape).
So long as you have the default HUD, you will see four buttons on the middle bottom of the menu:

You want to press the button with a ticked square inside (second from the left, third from the right). I will attach a picture just in case:

When you press it a mystical window will appear:

This is the vote menu. On the left you can choose one of the many available vote types, on the right the subject of the vote.
On the bottom drop down menu you can choose a reason for the vote:

After the set-up is done, press the "CALL VOTE" button. In cased you missed it, it's here:

That's all, you should see a vote being called.

Now you just need to hope that the players on your team will realise that a vote has been called, then decide that your accusation is valid and vote yes (f1).
