Miscellaneous Achievements 🏆

Bee Plot
Got stung by a bee. It happens.
This can be completed as early as Day 77. Once you have retrieved the new walkie-talkie from Cottonwood Creek, head back to the gate near Wapiti Station that you encountered during the previous day. Open the gate and right in front of you will be a box on pole that says Wapiti. Open it, a bee will fly out and sting you, and the achievement will unlock.

The Life and Times of Raccoon Carter
Got attacked by a raccoon; probably didn't get rabies.
This can be completed as early as Day 76. When you start Day 76, head north toward Beartooth Point. About halfway there (between the words "Thorofare Trail" and "Telephone"), the trail splits once and then again. After the split, look for an old outhouse that is falling apart (it contains the lyrics to Ol' Shoshone inside). From the outhouse, head east and look for an old cabin that is falling apart. Inside, go into the basement and open the stove. A raccoon should jump out and the achievement will unlock.

Shutter Bug
Filled a disposable camera with photos.
This can be completed as early as Day 2. After finding the downed line and heading down the path (headed toward cache 241), you will see a backpack hanging on a tree. Knock it down and grab the items in it. One of the items is a disposable camera. Use up the remaining pictures to unlock your achievement.

Love Turts
Adopted a turtle as a pet. The average lifespan of a box turtle is fifty years. It will outlive you.
If you're in Free Roam, fast forward to get the map location which is shown at 0:38 and then follow the video to unlock it. If you are playing the story, then follow the directions on Day 1, as per the video.

Ol' Shoshone
Listened to the tape of "Ol' Shoshone." Cavorted among the aspens.
In the above photo, is where you need to go to find the recording. Just before you get to it, will be a dead elk. Nearby is some bushes you use your left mouse to move out of the way, then you will need to clear the way with your axe. Once through, you will see a chair, and some other useless junk, except for a note with a tape on it. Simply pick up the tape. I didn't even have to listen to it..

I went into the cabin on the evacuation day and the racoon part didn't give me the achievement or any sort of dialogue

Hi!
The elk from the Ol' Shoshone Achievement is not yet there until later. When you go there right after geeting the Axe it not there. The song is really good by the way.

The Raccoon one can actually be done on Day 1! I decided to explore more before entering the cave and I got the raccoon to attack me and got the whole story about the cabin

When i had done my first play through of firewatch and had went to the cabin, i opened the stove and nothing was in there, but when i was evacuating and was passing the cabin i decided "what the hell" and went in to find an eerie blue light from the basement and i swear my heart jumped outta my chest when that raccoon came at me. i thought it would be empty again.
One of the few time a game has jump scared me.

Thank you. I noticed that the turtle might be glitched into the rock, So hover the pointer around the rock and see if the UI picks it up. Also, I think there are multiple spawn points for the turtle and possibly the raccoon.
