Hide N Seek Tips

This guide will give you tips on how to survive your average Hide N Seek game as a crewmate and how to get those pesky crewmates as an impostor. Hopefully you will do better when playing Hide N Seek. Will you be the next great player of Hide N Seek?

Crewmate

As a crewmate, you may have the hardest job here. Remember, this is Hide N Seek, so please do not mistake this for Classic.

- Hide in rooms with a vent and many hiding spots, if possible.
- Complete as many tasks as possible in the available time.
- Save all your vents for Red Time, when the impostor has a speed boost, pings, and a seek map.
- Use your vents only when necessary, as you will need them.
- If you die, do not leave. It ruins the game for others.
- When running from the impostor, try to zig-zag as much as possible and juke them if the lobby has a
high player speed.
- If the Danger Meter rises and you are in the middle of a task, exit the task and stand as still as
possible. With luck, the impostor will overlook you.
- When the Red Time begins, find the nearest vent, stand there, and watch the doorway. If the
impostor enters and sees you, vent as quickly as possible.
- If you are hiding in a spot that is hidden from the doorway but still visible, watch the Danger Meter
intently.

Impostor

I do not have as many tips for this one, as I have not been the impostor as many times as I have been a crewmate, so just be aware of that.

- Search each area thoroughly, as crewmates will be everywhere doing tasks at the beginning of the
game.
- When you find a crewmate, try to kill them as quickly as possible, either they are doing a task and
have not spotted you yet, or they are just pretending to do a task.
- When you get the crew down to two or three crewmates, go for the admin map. Watch for a minute
until you know for sure where they are going.
- When Red Time starts, you will get a seek map, if the host has not turned it off. You will also get a
speed boost and pings telling you where they are, so take advantage of it and use it wisely.
- If you are chasing a crewmate and they disappear, do not look for them for the rest of the game,
that will only waste your time. Look for them for a moment longer, then go search for the rest of
crew, unless they are the last one.
