No, this is not another slayer unit. While i liked playing with other Doomseeker mods, it always bothered me, that they were mostly bonus versus large copies of original slayers with better stats and lower model count.

After watching some fanatics, obviously having fun and laughing while plowing through my longbeards, i thought this could be a nice concept for dawi fanatics. But wait .... there is even lore for that. Doomseekers were introduced during the "Storm of Chaos" as a slayer unit. So i combined the highly developed scientific concept of spinnning a ball properly a la Gork (or Mork??), with the sturdiness of a crazy redhead


In my version, Doomseekers are essentially the fanatics counterpart of the greenskins. Every slayer unit now has a Doomseeker variant (ability) so slayers can actually face infantry and have some crowd clearing tool.

Differences to fanatics:
Lesser damage / mostly non-AP (to enemy only - Doomseekers are crazy but not that crazy that they would kill their own kin),
spinning in a smaller area,
contact effect -6 MA,
only 2 uses

Wards of Grmnir - additional +10 MR

The dawi endgame crisis is also using the Doomseeker units. They are also added to the slayer recruit pool for every playable dawi faction.
