even after updating and rebuilding audio cache, audio screeches and slowdowns are still present.
This mod is pretty cool. I have a proposition for improving it. Forgive me if I tell you something you already know or are doing, but I think it might be better to generate the voice lines from the game's subtitles. The benefit in doing it this way is having the voice lines and subtitles match.
The text files are in: "\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\pak01_dir.vpk"
".vpk" files can be opened with an application called "GCFScape"; open the 'resource' folder and get whatever language you want from there.
So the full path to the Japanese subtitles text file would be:
"\Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/pak01_dir.vpk/resource/subtitles_japanese.txt"
Here is an excerpt:
"Coach_AlertGiveItem03" "<clr:112,75,125>コーチ: 助けてもらうのは別に恥ずかしいことじゃないぜ"
"[english]Coach_AlertGiveItem03" "<clr:112,75,125>Coach: Ain't no shame in gettin' some help."
Hope this helps!
