Description

[opencollective.com]

This is the updated version of the Planet States mod originally made by lpslucasps[github.com] and maintained by The24thDS[github.com] up until last year. Now it has passed to me.

As per the original description:

This mod adds a bunch of independent, sovereign planets for you to interact with (or conquer), called Planet States.
These Planet States will spawn at the start of the game in random systems and will have random names.

The Fanatic Egalitarian planet state has a lot of pops and will trade 1 Consumer Good for 2 Energy Credits.
You can decide to acquire monthly one of the following quantities:
  • 10;
  • 20;
  • 30;
  • 40;
  • 50.
You can also sign a Commercial Pact with them once you have good relations. The pact will increase your Trade Value by 5%.

The Fanatic Authoritarian planet state is an slaver-state on a Tomb World.
They sell Minerals at a 1:1 rate in the following monthly quatities:
  • 10;
  • 20;
  • 30;
  • 40;
  • 50.
You can also sign a Commercial Pact with them once you have good relations. The pact will increase your Trade Value by 5%.

The Fanatic Militarist planet state is a society where all the heavy work is done by robots, while the organic pops dedicate themselves to fighting.
This Planet State will sell you Alloys at a 1:4 rate in the following monthly quatities:
  • 10;
  • 20;
  • 30;
  • 40;
  • 50.
You can also sign a Commercial Pact with them once you have good relations. The pact will increase your Trade Value by 5%.

The Fanatic Pacifist planet state is a Gaia world inhabited by farmers that want to live in harmony with nature.
This Planet State will sell you Food at a 1:1 rate in the following monthly quatities:
  • 10;
  • 20;
  • 30;
  • 40;
  • 50.
You can also sign a Commercial Pact with them once you have good relations. The pact will increase your Trade Value by 5%.

Compatibility

This mod should be compatible with any mods that don't overwrite the following:
  • file: interface/frontend.gui
  • rule: can_take_hostile_actions

There is also compatibility for Merger of Rules.

If you use UI Overhaul, place this mod beneath it in your load order.

Bug reporting and ideas

Please use the RMG Discord[discord.gg] for reporting bugs and giving feedback (select the Smaller Projects role in #roles then head to #bosmers-mod-stash). It's much easier to have everything in one place. However I will still take a look at the mod comments from time to time.

The current percentages reflect what they were when I acquired the mod from The24thDS. Translations are always welcome and you can submit them on our Discord server.

@Ulthar:
It already mentions it:
"This mod adds a bunch of independent, sovereign planets for you to interact with (or conquer), called Planet States.

This may have been asked many times, but perhaps would you update the description to mention that these can be conquered?

Updated for 3.11+
No major changes.

@Salwed:
They should be spawning on all map sizes. You probably have another mod conflicting with it. If you check your game.log file, it should show you that they spawned.

I added the mod, and installed it according to the instructions. But at the same time, I don't see any planet-states in the game. Shouldn't they be like empires with one star system or something else?

@cjjohnson995:
For now there are only 4. I plan to add at least one to two more at some point.
cjjohnson995 Sep 26, 2023 @ 12:22pm
So only 4 planet states? Anyway to add more?

@卡尔文迪斯梅特:
Its because frontend.gui is changed with the mod. I plan on releasing the 3.9 compat update today and it should fix it.

Hi, since this day i'm after loading hanging on the start window. Menu Points not reacting on mouseclicks or hotkeys
Bosmeri  [author] Sep 11, 2023 @ 3:10pm
Just a heads up:
I will be updating Planet States with minor things such as spawn logging and basic 3.9 compatibility. Don't expect an immediate release day update unless the amount code reworking is next to minimal.
