DS Arms SA58 OSW with Aimpoint CompM2 and Surefire M900 from Payday 2

American-made derivative series of the Belgian FN FAL. It just seems to be one of those timeless designs that people keep going back to, modernizing it to meet modern tactical requirements.


Initially it started out as an M16/AK replacement, and I'm still planning to make those since there's enough assets to make a full three-skin mod for those slots. Speaking of slots, I am planning to be making less new mods and start updating old ones and make those long-promised alternatives while I'm at it. Then again, "planning" is kind of a stretch. I might make this particular gun for other slots later... Since the weapons in L4D2 are very inconsistent with their "coding" (especially the sniper rifles) it is very frustrating to port a gun to different slots. Additionally, I often want to do a lot of options, like optics and suppressors, or camouflages for CoD weapons, but that means I have to test every single variation, and take a lot of screenshots which is prone to crashing my game. Also, uh, jigglebones! And LODs!

Now, you might have caught on my tendency to give comment on recent political events in my mod descriptions, and if you're expecting me to provide some insights on what the hell happened here, I will admit that I am as confused as you are. Vatniks saw this as display of their beloved president's might and universal support from the whole country, everyone with a brain and eyes saw a scared old rat running from Moscow, destroying roads and turning bridges just to save his cowardly skin from an army of thugs that are not under his control. The complete apathy of citizens and total cluelessness of the military. Heroes or traitors? Heroes again? Let that sink in: there used to be a "join the Wagner PMC" advertisement in an elevator in my house. An ad of a cosmetic surgery clinic was glued over it. Nothing else was touched. Make whichever conclusion that suits you, I'm not gonna argue. At least things didn't go from bad to worse. Yet.
