Paganism's Last Stand

A simple mod that gives a few Pagan religions and Judaism several provinces in Europe at the start date. The Pagans are are the last hold outs of non-Christian Europe and only exists in the rural and overgrown forests of Northern Europe.

The final Norse Province on Earth is centered around Trollkyrka or "Troll's church" in Sweden where Norse inspired animal sacrifices would continue into the 18th Century. Southern Sweden was the last region of Norse Scandinavia to convert to Christianity.

Lithuanians were the last non-nomadic European people to adopt Christianity, only doing so in 1387. The peasantry though continued to practice traditional pagan beliefs for decades afterwards. Samogitia would become the last major stronghold of Paganism in Europe, so much so that the Teutonic Order even waged crusades against the region until 1410.

Suomenusko remains the religion of Northern Scandinavia, where significant Nordic/Christian settlement wouldn't occur until the 17th century. The nomadic Sami people would practice their beliefs well into the Modern Era.

Judaism has been granted 3 Provinces in Europe, 1 in Spain and 2 in Poland. Spain during the era of Muslim control was home to a strong and thriving Jewish community centered around Sevilla. The Catholic monarchs of the Iberian Peninsula will quickly crack down on this community though and by 1492 completely demand their expulsion from the country. Poland on the other hand would be one of the most tolerant regions on Earth for the Jewish People. During EU4s timeline Poland would become home to the largest Jewish Community on Earth. It was the only region in Europe where Jews were granted autonomy and even their own land to farm.
