Texas Treasures, Part 4 Achievement Guide - Crude Awakening heist

This guide will show you how to solve the puzzle and earn the reward on the Crude Awakening heist.

At least one person in the lobby must have completed the Texas Treasures: Part 3 achievement from the Hostile Takeover job to be able to set this heist's achievement in motion.

The person/people having completed the previous Texas Treasures achievement will receive a blueprint in their inventory upon spawning:

THE PUZZLE

To start off, head to the Security Office on Level D and use the Blueprint on a suspicious looking panel on the wall.

Opening it with the Blueprint reveals a mechanical panel that can be interacted with.

Interacting with the panel starts a 20-second timer, and will show you 3 random symbols.

• Pressing the button on the panel will display 3 random symbols on the big screen
  
• Pulling the lever resets the timer and re-enables the button to give a new set of random symbols

• There are 12 intercoms spread around sections of the map
  
• There are 36 possible intercom spots, 3 spots for each symbol
  
• Each intercom carries one unique symbol
  
  
• Pushing the button makes all intercoms interactable

• The 12 symbols are divided into 3 categories (see next guide section)
  
• Only one symbol of each category will appear oin the panel screen when pressing the button

• Press button -> Have 3 teammates on stand-by -> Call out order of symbols -> Teammates press correct intercoms IN ORDER -> Person in security room pulls lever
  
• Pulling the lever with a correct order will grant you one 'point', this will be displayed on the panel screen, score 3 points to progress

SYMBOLS, CATEGORIES AND CALLOUTS

There are 12 symbols in total that have a chance to appear on the main panel screen every time you push the button.

To make it easier, there are 3 categories with 4 corresponding symbols.
Only one symbol of each category will appear on the panel screen.

It is best to have one player doing one category each for pressing a correct symbol in the 20-second time period

You can study these symbols here and memorise their callouts/make your own callouts with your team.

(!) Remember that the order in which your teammates push the buttons is important!

INTERCOM LOCATIONS

Altough it may seem pure random madness, there is an easy way to find other intercoms related to the same category. There's 9 fixed groups, 3 for each category (4 intercoms each) where the intercom groups can spawn.

Example:
If you find one intercom with a Medic Bag (Category: Bags), then find the Medic Bag location in the groups here below in this guide, then look at the other 3 intercom pictures in that group to find out where they will spawn.

Note: I'm bad at explaining this, but in a nutshell, find one intercom, and look that intercom here to figure out where all other intercoms are of the same category - this reduces the time to find intercoms by alot

FINAL STEP

After you have successfully entered a correct code sequence 3 times the screen on the panel screen will change to notify you have completed the puzzle:

After this is done, head all the way up to the control room of the oil drill, there will be a room with a shrine dedicated to Esteban:

On the coathanger is a nice outfit, approach it and interact with it to earn your achievement!

STRATEGIES

• Play with friends or a team you've found comitted to earning this achievement
  
• If loud, play on a low difficulty to avoid dying fast when puzzling
  
• Use voice chat in-game or in an application
  
• Play with 4 humans, one stays at the panel and acts as mission control, and the others are on stand-by, tackling only one symbol category each, giving every player the task to handle one category of symbols (see guide section: INTERCOM LOCATIONS)

Just went and did the three previous parts in order to check out what this fourth part was about (thanks for your 2nd and 3rd part guides!) and have to agree that this is pure BS. They make the previous three parts easily soloable, only to make this fourth and final one almost impossible for solo players.

If only they could give players playing offline more time on the clock (like 1 minute and 30 seconds), then the single player would have a much easier time at it.
