Description
This is a modified version of pl_goldrush with a bunch of tweaks to increase performance, improve loading times and decrease file size. The layout of the map has not been changed.

IMPORTANT: To play the map after subscribing, type "map workshop/2991740185" in console.

CHANGES
- Added distance fade to some props.
- Removed some insignificant props.
- Applied "nodraw" to out of bounds textures.
- Deleted duplicated point entities.
- Optimized lightmaps.
- Reduced the file size significantly.

NOTES
This map is supposed to be a community fix.
This map has no gameplay changes, only visual ones.
The map has been compiled with both LDR and HDR and has built cubemaps.
If you want some feature to be added, feel free to use the comments.

And, of course, all credit for the original map goes to Valve.

i've installed this game on an ssd, later moved it to hdd since there was almost no difference. loading the game executable is slightly faster, but loading the maps is not. that's probably because source engine is not optimized for ssd drives.

If the loading time difference is noticeable then it would be interesting to see, preferably with a slower HDD vs SSD.

these are not just performance changes, they also decrease file size and loading times, every computer can benefit from these

Would have been interesting to see a comparison with the stock map on the performance. Although the changes sound promising, I'm not sure if it makes any noticeable difference in terms of framerate. In general the game is pretty light on GPU rendering today.
