Starting Moves
At the start of the game, you're going to have 1 army with a horde pop of 9. Go head and raise one army and build a industry tent.

For techs research all the way to -10% upkeep cost militarized society, you want to be basically researching the first military tech part of the tree. You won't be settling until around 400-405 AD. Thus you don't need to be researching civic techs until later. You are not building horde buildings.

Like any other horde, you want to sack settlements; Burdigala, Avaricum, Lugdunum,Aquae Sextiae are good provinces in gaul to sack on the way to Hispania. You can sack small settlements if you want, they bring in a little income, but I find them especially useful for abusing one of Suebi's starting faction traits; skilled migrators. You'll want to get about at least 40k in your treasury to settle down to your desired province. I have settled in Gallecia because of it's gold mine.
What makes Suebi so strong
Skilled migrators gives you -35% horde building construction cost (meh) and -35% upkeep cost for 10 turns for any army that loots or sacks a settlement. Read that last part; Any army that loots or sacks a settlement...

This also works with navies! ^
I have 200 turns of Skilled Migrators, with it's -35% upkeep cost. As you might guess, all you need to do is constantly sack a settlement. When you take over a city, you kill it's entire garrison, and when looting it once, you get all the money. Weirdly enough, you can still "sack" the settlement despite getting 0 wealth from it. Just sack to your hearts content.

I am spending about 10k per turn on my military. If you don't have skilled migrators or are a different faction then you'd be paying 13.5k per turn.
Economy

This is a trade warf, and that is a cattle farm.
BIG FAT STACKS OF CASH.
Build these everywhere, you want to build trade because it gives you 900 wealth per turn compared to fishing that gives you 450. The only time you build fishing ports is if you live in a very low fertility area. Hispania is extremely fertile! And with the sanitation buildings you can keep it at a comfortable 4 or 5 for the rest of the game.

Biggest mistake I see players including myself have done is building wheat farms on high fertility areas. DON'T. But, the fertility means I get extra food per turn! So does cattle with wealth in regard. You get extra wealth per fertility. If you don't build cattle and trade warfs, you are losing at my settlements approximately 3800 wealth per turn. Level 2 wheat farms make 150 wealth, level 2 cattle make 400. DO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM WITH MAKING WHEAT FARMS?

P.S Don't upgrade your main town buildings until you are making the money i'm making; 10k per turn. It is simply not worth it to spend 10k on one building compared to spending that on new buildings that are a fraction of the cost like a farmstead for 1000. The only real reason to upgrade your towns is to not eat up too much food, that's it.

Given enough time, your run should look like mine;
