Design Requirements Checklist
Von Oakrotic
I tend to forget about important but minor additions to the vehicles I build ( like fuel ports, rope anchors ) so I have decided to make a guide so that my building progress is more organized (and yours too!). Keep in mind that this guide is WIP and if you have any ideas for a certification or criticism please inform me.

Preamble
Certifications
Certifications are given for matching all requirements (excluding optional and other variables). Feel free to add certifications to your vehicles workshop page. By the suggestion of Q I have added a date of certification.
Recommended Usage
Build a rough basis of your vehicle with engines & basic shape, once this is done, reate a notepad TXT file. add every single certification you want your vehicle to have there and check off each one as you build.

Technological Restrictions
keep in mind im not that much of a historian so if any experienced people have advice to give me about this section please do

These are based on operational vehicles, there were many prototypes that may have been ahead of their time.

☐ No GPS

* There were multiple helicopters in World War 2 and the Interwar Period, and many autogyros. However, I don't think you can make an autogyro in Stormworks, for the same reason you cant build a glider.

Also, there were only a few operational helicopters in world war 2 and none during the Interwar period. And those that did saw limited service.

* There were multiple jets in World War 2, but most only saw limited service.

Can we get an update for space related vehicles and more types of vehicles like tug boats, fishing boats, research boats or mining vehicles/oil vehicles?

also major props to you for writing this ive been using it for weeks and has really helped give my builds more direction.

You should add numbers / dates to the certifications (or require people to put those). In case the requirements change ppl's workshops with "SARSPEC 2023/09 certified" would still be true, even if they didn't qualify for new criteria

missing Momentum simulator on engines as a requirement as this game has bad speed ramp up

@rushpsulion Feathering an engine is a term used in air vehicles to reduce drag on a propeller when the engine has failed by turning the propeller blades to be parallel to the airstream, this reduces overall drag on the vehicle and also stops the blade from spinning which could potentially damage the engine. In gliders feathering also usually involves locking the propellers

To be fair, the Titanic was built in 1912 and did have electric heaters, but I see where you're coming from.
