🔧 Temporary fix for the stuttering after the update

Tired of the constant stuttering and the 'invalid join data' error ? Does this make you want to refund the game ?

Well despair no longer, here's a temporary fix for the stuttering at least. We're gonna have to wait for TornBanner to fix these issues for good. They sure are taking their sweet time.

STEP 1

Locate the EOSCache inside the game folder

Close the game.

Navigate to :

Steam library ➡ Chivalry 2 ➡ Properties ➡ Local Files ➡ Browse ➡ TBL ➡ PersistentDownloadDir

STEP 2

Delete datastorage folder

Inside the EOSCache folder you'll find the 'datastorage' folder.

Delete it.

STEP 3

Deny access to the EOSCache folder

Go back to the EOSCache folder.

Right click on it and go to :

Properties ➡ Security ➡ Advanced ➡ Disable Inheritance ➡ Remove all inherited permissions from this object

Remove any permission entires that might be left.

Don't forget to Apply these changes.

STEP 4

Profit.

Thank you, it's helpful. I think developers don't care about it, Tripwire products have always been and will be broken, just like Killing Floor 2.

Holy crap actually works. Between switching to dx12 and this fix, I'm actually getting better framerates with higher graphics settings. Insane how inept Torn Banner is.
