BLACK FRAME FIX FOR 2560x1080 MONITORS

Finally i found the way to get rid of that black frame around the perimeter of your game window if your monitor is 2560x1080
So, what you need to do is to go to NVIDIA Control panel then Display and "change resolution" section

after that at the bottom part of the window you will see the "customize" button, you need to press it and then click on Create Custom Resolution, set the value to 2544 for Horizontal pixels and 1060 for vertical lines, press Test then Ok and thats it

now open GeForce Experience and click on that little wrench near the "optimize" button

it will open a little window where you can choose your resolution, click on it

and you will notice that now you have your custom resolution near your native one, click on the custom one, press apply and that's it

( nvidia geforce experience will probably apply optimal game settings with it, but you can change the settings in the game after it)

So for me this worked, but your resolution is what did it.



my fix for DX12 (direct x 12 ) witcher 3 utlrawide black bars is as follows.

open your dx12user.settings

change your resolution to Resolution="2544x1060"

now, here comes to the frustrating part....

so I changed mine to full screen, and it was some kind of blurred monstrosity.

I changed it to borderless window, it did work!

here's the really annoying part.

you have to change to full screen back to borderless window every time you do this.

this isn't acceptable...

this should get fixed... weird that it hasn't.
