Tram Milano Serie 1500

I Tram a carelli "tipo 28", della serie 1500, vennero progettati al fine di rinnovare il parco rotabili di Milano. Si tratta di un tram tipo "Peter Witt".

A partire dal 1928, vennero realizzati 500 esemplari.

Nel giro di pochi anni, tutte le unità vennero modificate con l'aggiunta di una ulteriore porta di accesso all'ambiente posteriore del tram. Escludendo l'applicazione iniziale delle livree bianco/giallo e bianco/castano, la colorazione utilizzata dagli anni 30 fino a fine anni 60 è in doppio tono di verde.

A partire dagli anni 70, viene applicato il giallo ministeriale. Contestualmente all'applicazione della nuova livrea, il problematico pantografo a rotella viene sostituito con un moderno tipo monobraccio.

Molti di questi rotabili svolge ancora, regolarmente, servizio. Alcune unità sono state vendute all'estero.

The "type 28" trams with bogies, of the 1500 series, were designed in order to renew the rolling stock of Milan. It is a "Peter Witt" type tram.
Starting from 1928, 500 units were built.

After a couple of years (since the beginning of their service), all the units were modified with the installation of an additional access door to the rear area of the tram. The first sperimental liveries were the white/yellow and white/chestnut ones, the color scheme used from the 1930s to the end of the 1960s is two-tone green.
From the 1970s, ministerial yellow has been applied. Simultaneously with the application of the new livery, the problematic wheel pantograph was replaced with a modern single-arm type.

Many of these rolling stock still carry out regular service. Some units have been sold overseas.
