Description
Hello all togther !

This here is an alternative to the vanilla Monorail - tracks.
I´ve initially created these tracks in order to use them in an
airport - built in my city ...
After watching the last episodes of Two Dollars Twenty´s
Sunset City series, I decided to release these tracks.

Because these nets are older creations, you´ll need a mod (see down below)
to display all textures correctly.

Due to the fact that it isnt (atm) possible to use IMT with Monorails,
I´ve updated the "base - versions" to be AN networks.
On those, you can activate the Service - Walkways via AN options.

  • 8 versions
  • double / single - tracks
  • station tracks [dbl / sngl]
  • 3 decorative networks [at the correct position to be used with IMT, if that´ll be possible in the future]
  • only ONE texture set ... with the tiny exception of the walkway - metal floors and the pillars. ;)
  • connect seamlessly to the vanilla Monorail tracks

Changes on Segments
  • add Service Walkways - via Segment Flag & DropDown - M.
  • choose only one version, beause they can be activated together

  • add support Beams (to have the "vanilla" look) - via Segment Flag

  • AN is needed for 2 of the networks
  • the Monorail - Prop Pack contains transition Pillars etc.

In order to display all textures correctly, one of those mods is required.
  • Network Anarachy by Quboid
  • Network Tiling by Ronyx69

As always ;)

Loading Screen Mod - created by thale5, fixed and updated by Klyte45 and
now maintained and improved by algernon.

Only one Texture Set is used in these nets. WIth LSM you´ll need about 9 MB RAM for
these nets.
Station - Track Swaps work best with RON by algeron
  • activate the "advanced mode" in the mods options, in order to be able to change station tracks of "multi - network - stations"

I´ll add them when they are back ... ;)

If you like this addition to the workshop... and you want more,
you could give it a thumbs up. :) That would be very much appreciated !!! :)

Question? can these be lowered to ground level or does it stick to be 6m-7m above ground by default like vanilla tracks?

@zdezeka Here babe I found a link to the tram asset: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1959619383

@CassiBerlin Just so you know, network skins is stable, although there is also a beta version of it. You can also use move it! and and it should be pretty easy, although time consuming.

@clus, right, ok, thanks for confirming your understanding. :D

@clus, @ accassius, thanks for your feedback.
Trying hard to work out a stable mod configuration (and getting used to Skyve), I'd avoid any beta mod atm, so I'll just use it as is and joyfully accapt a later implementation.

@all many Thanks again. :)
@Sp3ctre18 Bidirectional tracks "work" in game ... the problem with them is, that the pathfinding AI can't handle these very well, which might lead to disfunctioning transport lines or at worst, I completely messed up system.
I think that there is/was a mod to improve the AI in order to handle those tracks better... but I also think, that it was specifically designed for train tracks.
@CassiBerlin Thanks :) and no ... there isn't an easy way (atm), because IMT can't be used on Monorail tracks. :/ however, I'll update the tracks later, when the rest of the pillars are uploaded in to the prop pack. That way you'll be able to activate those pillars via AN.
The second solution would be the one provided by accassius89. ;) But for that, you'd need the NS Beta version, because the main version doesn't work with AN.

@CassiBerlin I haven't used those, but they appear to just be vanilla tracks with a wider pillar. You can find another concrete pillar set online and use network skins, or replace it by hand.

@clus, thanks for making this great asset!
I totally prefer this look over the vanilla one- what an improvement.
Currently using "Monorail-over-Road Tracks" by Delta-5-1 because of versatility, I wonder if there's an easy way to apply wide pillars to your network?

@clus, oh I get it, yeah now I looked more closely at your image. I guess the hype or misunderstanding of others confused me.

But, it's an interesting thought. Nothing prevents us from making a bi-directional track, right? I haven't tried it because I assume it could get messy in-game and only for people who really want to dare to try it (esp with train tracks, since that's normal in real life and needs bypass sections). Station tracks use "avoid back/forward" but is "both directions" an option for a single lane?
