YEAR 8 ROADMAP | New Ops, Maps, Gadgets [Sepetember Update]

The guide will list planned changes for 2023, including new operators, maps, and events. Information will be updated as news is released. Don't forget to like and add to favorites.

OVERALL

This year we have 4 new operators, 5 permanent arcade modes, and promises to make the game more enjoyable for both experienced players and newcomers.

Player Protection System

Throughout the year, ubi will improve this system by getting rid of cheaters and toxic behavior. They will add and improve the reputation system, privacy mod for content creators, new requirements for playing ranked, maustrap, measures against smurfs, interception of potentially dangerous data, as was the case when a couple of players through an exploit could load the server of the entire match.

Reputation System
Now each player has a reputation, it works very simply.
If you kill teammates / their gadgets / get reports / mutes - the reputation decreases, you get less rewards and more likely to be banned.

If you behave positively, help the team and get praise - reputation grows, you get more rewards, more points and alpha packs
Commendation system will be added during the year

SEASON 1 [March - May]

Season is calling Operation Commanding Force

Mousetrap

Mousetrap is a feature that's designed to catch players using mouse and keyboard controls on console. If you get caught by the current system in place, you “will experience latency” that will make it harder to aim and shoot.

 

New Reload System

Ubi remembered that the game was supposed to be an immersive tactical shooter and added realistic reloading.


Now, when reloading, you will throw out the magazine with its ammo, leaving only 1 bullet in the barrel
So now you don't need to reload every time you break the camera or drone

Beginner Challenges

There will be tasks for beginners in which they will be able to receive operatives and currency by fulfilling simple conditions and getting acquainted with the game using hints

Brava [BR] - S1 New Operator

Attack operative niece of Capitao, the main task is to hack enemy gadgets using a drone. KLUDGE DRONE is a twitch drone on steroids, it doesn't just destroy the enemy's gadget, but captures it, works great on Kapkan traps.

 
She has 2 drones with 3 charges each, if she misses, the charges are not consumed like a Twitch drone, when hacking it is not necessary to look at the gadget, you can just shoot and leave.
 

Rainbow is Magic [S1 Event]

 
From March 29th to April 19th, the goofiest and most colourful limited-time event returns for the third time in Siege! Bored to save Mr. Bear from your opponents' hands? Now, you will have to take down their Teddy while protecting yours! The new game mode "Bop the Teddy" also comes with a new operator archetype mechanism, new grenades and more!
 
 
For the first time in Rainbow is Magic, the objective is no longer to rescue the hostage Teddy but to take down the opponents' Mr. Bear. Be careful, you will also have to protect yours. The first Team that creates enough chaos to take down the 7000-HP Mr. Bear wins the round!

SEASON 2 [May - August]

Season is calling Operation Dread Factor

MAP REWORK: CONSULATE

Consulate is one of the oldest maps in R6. The map has been radically reworked, many decals and other atmospheric elements have been added, and it's especially nice to see that the developers are trying to close imbalanced spawn peeks

Oservation Blocker Gadget

The defense will have a gadget that allows you to put a "Wall" through which attacking drones cannot see

PERMANENT ARCADE PLAYLIST

In the second season, an Arcade playlist will be added, all modes were already temporary events before, but will now become permanent modes.

• Free For All - Everyone is an opponent.
  
• Deathmath - Quick round with respawn.
  
• Snipers Only - Your only weapon is CSRX 300 (Kali Sniper Rifle) and .44 Mag Semi-Auto (Kaid Pistol)
  
• Headshots Only - Roulette game, who will register the shot first (it's joke ubi don't ban plz)
  
• Golden Gun - Your only weapon is Golden Gun Every Bullet is an instant kill, but you have to reload after every shot.

 

Fenrir [SE] - S2 New Operator

In the second season we will get the Swedish Defense Operative.
The F-NATT DREAD MINE is a throwable device that sticks to walls, so it can be hidden in places where fear can fester. Fenrir comes equipped with 5 mines and can activate 3 at a time anywhere on the map.

RENGOKU [S2 Event]

Replay of last year's Rengoku event in Japanese style

 
The essence of the event is the same as in the 7th year. You have Azami kunai with different effects, in addition to the effects from last year, there will also be kunai with the abilities of Grim and Fenrir
You need to kill enemies and capture points.

SEASON 3 [August - November]

FROST REWORK

The rework has been delayed to season 3
Ubi decided to give Frost a "Hunter" vibe

Shooting Range Improvement

There will be additional modes and settings for Shooting Range

Quick Matche 2.0

While it is not known what will be the processing of quick matches, the main idea will be "To make quick matches different from ranked and unranked, so that players would blow up some steam"

Beginner's guide

To appear a full-fledged training course for beginners for the passage of which you can get 10 operatives (5 for attack and 5 for defense)

RAM [KR] - S3 New Operator

Ram is Korean soft-breach operator with soft-breach drone and versatile loadout wich means the new operator can be used in a variety of roles. Her primary weapons, both the R4C and the LMGE are relatively aggressive weapons. This is why we might see Ram take on a more entry-fragger role.

SEASON 4 [~December]

New Map

Along with the operator will be added a new map in Portugal, the developers describe it as "You have not seen this on any map in Rainbow 6 Siege". Sounds bright, but let's see what will happen in practice, while there are no details about the map.

Shield Rework

Now, when playing as an operator with a shield to shoot, you need to move the shield, but at the same time, reloading will now be behind the shield. In addition, when an operator with a shield uses a melee attack, he does not cut, but knocks back the enemy like an Oryx.
 
 
And most importantly, now when you are behind the shield you can turn your head, this will really help the shields to play as a team
 

Game with bots

A new mode will be added where it will be possible to show friends who have just entered the game how everything works, but so far only for the attack. They promise that bots will train on machine learning.

Tubarão [PT] - S4 New Operator

Portugal Operator - Tubarão

Isaac "Tubarão" Nunes Oliveira is a Defending Operator



The Zoto Canister is Tubarão's unique gadget that releases an icy area of effect. When thrown, it adheres to surfaces and releases freezing gas to disable gadgets and expose footprints for a short duration. Defenders like Bandit can combine it with gadget denial for a potent combo.

The main use for Tubarão's gadget is blocking hard breachers.
It can freeze reinforced hatches and walls to prevent breaching with Thermite, Hibana, Ace, or secondary gadgets.
This can buy precious time for anchors to rotate or gather intel.
