CREATION HAS BEEN UPDATED

OCTONAUTS, TO THE LAUNCH BAY!

This is my rendition of the 1st Utility Submarine used by the Octonauts.
While in the cartoon and book the carachters enter and exit the GUP at ease through the windshiled without flooding it (in a fashion reminescent of Subnautica's Seamoth), here in Stormworks is far from that simple.

Access is through a hatch on the top. The interior is divided in two compartments, with the stern section acting as diving chamber to exit the submarine while submerged.

In order to make it as similar to the cartoon version as possible, I used small pumps all around: this means that the GUP A cannot blow ballast if submerged under 10m.

However, it can rise from the bottom in reverse while pitching up at any depth; the engine is powerful enough to bring it to the surface at any ballast. It also features depth hold and single waypoint autopilot.

Maximum speed is 9 m/s; battery allows for a 2 km round trip with descent to the bottom and re-surface.
It has no thermal engines; power can be restored by charging port or (albeit slowly) solar panels.

All systems are online on the go; internal lights are controlled by player sensor. Both control handles on the bridge can act on throttle and pitch, yaw, and roll. The Captain has control over lights and ballast tanks, while the XO can engage the autopilot.

Read the instruction plaque on the bridge; it contains the instructions to make the GUP neutrally buoyant for easy navigation at constant depth.

Enjoy!

P.S: there is a drain pump that automatically removes water (or rather tries to) from the compartments. If you are exiting the sub while submerged in shallow waters, deactivate the drain pumps by opening the dedicated breaker, otherwise you'll just empty the ballast.

Nothing yet; I'm basically starting from scratch, since the gas update broke completely the original.I have not given up, though.

The Octopod is a construct beyond my current capabilities. It's a base that can contain all original GUPs barred the larger ones like GUP W (which is WIP in my StormWorks), it is mobile, it has tentacles to anchor itself to the bottom, and it is clear from the cartoon that the proportions are flexible, i.e., its size varies between shots to fit the narration.
My stakeholders gretly desire the Octopod, but I'm not going to be able to make a good, or even acceptable one anytime soon.
