How to activate Borderlands retail on Steam

A guide on how to activate Borderlands and Borderlands GOTY retail disc on Steam

Instructions

1. Go to your Steam Library and select Tools.

2. Look for Borderlands Granting Tool in the list.

3. Right-click on it and select Install Game.

4. After installation insert your Borderlands retail DISC 2 into the DVD-ROM.

5. Now right-click on Borderlands Granting Tool and select Play Game.

6. Follow the setup.

7. Now you have Borderlands in your Steam Library.

PS: For those that own Borderlands GOTY follow the instructions above and after activate the DLC serial found in the box thrugh Add a Game/Activate a Product on Steam.

Enjoy Borderlands and wait for the Borderlands Multiplayer update via Steam.

For those who are trying to do it now, will not be able to due to the fact the Borderlands Granting Tool is no longer available.

@Mjankner if by AoE 3 you mean Age Of Empires 3, I have no ideea how to activate the retail version, try contacting the developer for support on their official website http://www.ageofempires3.com/

i did in on Windows 7, try running Steam as an Administrator or the Borderlands Granting Tool, if not contact the developer at http://support.2k.com/hc/en-us and submit a support request
