CV Class 2, Tier 2, Unlock Level 12 - Vanilla and Reforged Eden

Primary roles: Starter CV, Farm, Production, Storage, Utility, Full med bay, Upgradable

The Wayfarer-ST2 is an entirely new ship built from ground up to replace the aging Wayfarer-ST. This ship also was built to be used stock in both Reforged Eden and vanilla game play. The R&D department worked out the plans to not only make the ST2 a bit smaller than the original but also more storage, farm potential, and many other possible upgrades including a 6 drill mining package.

Stock Features

The Wayfarer-ST2 comes stock with 4x200K storage, 1 advanced constructor, full med bay, 54 grow plot farm (grow plots not included), armor locker, o2 and dispenser, fridges, 4 passenger seats, decent sized top landing pad and hangar, and lots of upgrade potential.

Upgrade options

The ST2 has many possible upgrades and does have a part information LCD listing these options and symbols. Here is a list of upgrade parts that can be added in addition to its stock features.

1 3x3x3 Shield, 3x constructors/deconstructors, Teleporter(assign to teleporter control), 2 1x3 Generators, Repair bay and console, 54 Grow plots (Glow lights and switches included), 2 improved CPU core blocks, 6 mining drills, 10x medium thrusters, and armor repair. It also has 2 1x4 window slots in the hangar area to add any other parts like more generators, small shield parts, CPU blocks, or fuel tanks.

Offense and defense

The hull is built with carbon substrate and the interior is built with carbon substrate and container extensions. All though the ship does not come stock with a shield, it is recommended to add one as soon as possible. A full size standard shield as well as some other upgrades can be done in Reforged Eden without adding additional CPU blocks. It also comes with a 14K ammo box and 4x minigun turrets for drone defense.

The ship is also ready to add a 6 mining drill setup. To run this properly you would also want to add 2 1x3 generators, 2 improved CPU cores, and recommended to add additional thrusters in provided locations. One last and important step would be to replace one container controller with a harvest controller.

Notes and tech specs:

The hangar doors size 9x5.

There are 2 1x4 slots in the window seals in the hangar to add whatever fits there, like maybe more 1x3 generators, CPU blocks, fuel or o2 tanks, etc.

It is recommended to add a shield as soon as you can. It was left out only to remove rare resources needed and also to allow for compatibility between Vanilla and Reforged Eden.

The layout is as simple as I could find a way to make it. The goal of this ship was to design a starter CV that exceeded the specs of the Wayfarer-ST in every way except hull strength as well as functionality and compatibility.

The ship has 8 medium lift thrusters to handle 4x200K storage.(Stock). You can also add 2 medium thrusters to each side and 4 medium thrusters for forward thrust.

One last unlisted upgrade option would be to remove all forward medium thrusters and replace with 2 large thrusters.
