Finally, after many months of chronic laziness, I have actually bothered managing to update this mod for EA26. They are based on the short-lived period of Korean history known as the Korean Empire, a unified Korea of the very late 19th and very early 20th centuries. Their uniforms show very obvious inspiration from the Japanese, as well as the Germans and perhaps a few others. Living in America, it's hard to find information on the soldiers of this time, references are scarce; but I've managed to find a lot of photos which have helped me to create at least somewhat historically authentic soldiers and officers of the time. There were a few units I felt unable to accomplish due to a lack of information, mainly being enlisted cavalrymen; the only references I have found were the front of their jacket - but nothing else.

Korean Soldier
  • This is a simple soldier with his field equipment being very limited; his shoulder straps bear the title '시위대' which translates to 'Guard' in English; if my knowledge is correct; they were a special guard regiment that served the emperor and to guard he and his family.
Korean Pickelhaube
  • While a different regiment to the previous soldier; this soldier sports the very scarce pickelhaube model Korea adopted. I've only ever found one image of this piece of headgear; and it was of the front.
Korean Infantry Officer
  • A Korean officer with an infantry-pattern officer's uniform; he has a holster as well as a sword and the very elaborate officer's coat and hat.
Korean Artillery Officer
  • Very much like the above, apart from a lack of a handgun holster and yellow facings.
Korean Cavalry Officer
  • A very sporting red jacket, with white facings. It's possible that these white facings are historically incorrect and that they should be a very light green - but in the end, it's not much of an issue I would say.

This is a multiskin I commissioned from Chai. With this system, you are able to configure the multiskin to a much greater extent. Do not suggest changes to the mutator itself; if you want to do that, commission your own. I'm not going to spend money on something you want.

There are several options to choose from when you enter the configuration panel; the first and main one are the team choices; they will be listed as: Eagle Version and Raven Version. Your choices on the dropdown box are as follows:
  • None
    • This means there will be no skins at all for that team, you can choose whatever skin you want from the default skin selector for that team or leave them as the default team colors.
  • All Skins
    • This should also be a pretty obvious one, this enables every custom skin available; this means there will be a total of 15 unique skins - being officers, infantry in three regiments as well as different headgear and field gear setups.
  • No Cavalry Skins
    • This just makes it to where the red-uniformed cavalry officer does not appear since such a contrasting uniform could be distracting to you and end up with unneeded friendly fire. You monster, you shot your own man.
  • No Officer Skins
    • This means that only the enlisted men will spawn, none of the three officers
  • No Enlisted Skins
    • Basically this just means only officers spawn.

Enable Custom Player Skin
It's just a tickbox; click it if you want to enable you to change your skin to whatever you want.

Player Skin
This is a dropbown box of different skins to choose from the mutator; so that if you don't want to have a custom skin - you can manually choose from here. I won't go into specifics; the names should be easily understood. There is a bug where you will also have to select the player model in the default skin selection box; otherwise the arm and kick viewmodels will look like the default soldier.

  • Chai' custom multiskin system; thank you so much!

Additional Skins
To reduce the size of this mod and to not drown your game's skin selection box with smaller changes to the Korean soldier's insignia in gear; I have put the rest of the skins in this link.

They're all linked in the description, weapons that from my research were utilized by the soldiers
