1.03 has changed the behaviour of Marching Winter such that it no longer levels mountains. However it still destroys forests.
The theme sector property is necessary to make the bonuses work. I will look for a workaround when i have time to work on my terrain overhaul mod.
For now, treat this as a known issue.
The snowy look+forest works. That's fine, but the bonuses and tags doesn't appear to work.
I have a 5 provinces affected by winter this way, but only 3 gives the food/prod bonuses, of these 5 provinces their tags are:
The town itself
Forest Rocky Snow
Forest Cliff
River Rocky Forest Snow
Forest River
5 provinces that look snowy, 3 bonuses, 2 without the snow tag.
Reloading an earlier save to see the orignal tags...
The town itself
Grassland Forest Rocky
Forest Cliff
Grassland River Rocky Forest
Forest River
So it appear that if there is no terrain tag (grassland), it doesn't get the snow tag for the purpose of bonuses.
