This is a comprehensive guide detailing a way of getting for all achievements in the game. If you have never played this game or are just hunting for achievements, this guide will show you how to get them all.

Work in progress: work on this guide is still ongoing. Maybe now it looks like just a list of achievements, but it will not be so for long. Very soon, I will update each achievement with a detailed description and a screenshot or video explaining how to unlock it.

Achievement Info
The new part of the Age of Wonders game series offers achievement hunters to unlock 44 achievements. Achievements can be called quite easy and in essence they are unlocked for choosing various gameplay options by the player, because Age of Wonders 4 opens up a lot of space for you own role-play.

Complete The Main Story: Rise of the Godir Campaing
There are 10 achievements in the game that can be obtained for completing the Rise of the Godir Campaing. Complete campaign missions one by one, sometimes you will need to complete a couple of specific conditions to get an achievement, but nevertheless it is still about 25% of all achievements available in the game.

Play on any difficulty.
There are no achievements that required you to play or to complete the game on a certain difficulty, so select the difficulty that suits you the most for a comfortable game and be sure that this will not affect the unlocking of other achievements in any way.

Play Variably and Discover New Paths.
The vast majority of achievements in the game are unlocked by which type of gameplay you choose: there are a whole bunch of achievements for learning Tier V spell books of different elements and schools of witchcraft, there are many achievements for winning under certain conditions and for using the combat mechanics, diplomacy and the global map. The more varied your gameplay is, the more achievements you can unlock!

Spoiler Free Zone
I usually write a separate paragraph in my guides that the game has story achievements, the description of which may contain spoilers, but apparently not for this game. The fact is that descriptions of achievements can hardly reveal at least any plot points of the game. And given that the very concept of the game is literally based on the generation of its own world and the creation of its own history, there is literally nothing to spoil in the game. Feel free to play and use this guide without fear of learning something you shouldn't know about this game.

The military victory condition requires you to defeat all non-ally factions or all your enemies. To do this you must force the ruler of the non-ally factions into the Astral Void and the throne city must be captured. If a ruler is forced into the Astral Void, they will respawn into their thrown city unless it has been captured by another empire. Safe to say in this approach you will be amassing a massive army and will be waging war against empires that are not willing to join forces with you.
I've Got Everything I Need Right Here

To get the expansion victory you need to have enough provinces to unlock the beacons of unity. You then need to build three beacons in different cities. After that, you can light the beacons and you must defend them for 15 turns to get the expansion victory.
The Magic That Empowers Me!

The magic victory condition requires you to build three affinity improvements; Seed, Root, and Heart in three different cities. Once you have done this you will be able to channel the victory spell and you will need to defend against invaders for 15 turns. If you are able to do that then you will win the game.
Full Ascension/Return of the Wizard King


Before the start of any match, you will be prompted to choose the current race and its ruler, or you can make it yourself. In the process of creating your own leader, you will be offered one of two choices - Champion or Wizard King. Complete the creation of the faction and win, playing as one and the other leader type.

Against the Odds

When you see an enemy on the global map, depending on the strength of your army and the strength of the enemy unit, you will be shown the probability of winning the battle. The stronger the enemy unit and the weaker your army, the higher the probability of defeat.



When you step on the same hex as an enemy unit, you will be prompted to make an automatic or a manual battle. To get this achievement, you essentially need to manually win a battle in which you had high losing risks. Time to show off your tactical skills!
Master of Evilness


From the main menu, start a new game and select any realm you want. Map settings don't matter.



After that, follow these instructions:
On the faction selection screen, create your own by choosing "Create new race and Ruler "
Choose a Gobling race, you can change all other parameters like Culture or Society Traits as you need for your play style.
The Grey Wizard

After that, follow these instructions:
On the faction selection screen, create your own by choosing "Create new race and Ruler "
Choose a halfling race, you can change all other parameters like Culture or Society Traits as you need for your play style.
When you are done adjusting the characteristics of the race, then when choosing the type of ruler, select the right one - the Wizard King
The race of your ruler and his appearance can be radically different from the race you have chosen, so here you can configure everything as you need, except that the race of your ruler must be human. To do this, change the Physical Form slider and stop at the human form.
Сhoose a name and title for you ruler, start a match and win with any possible victory condition to get the achievement.
Jack of All Tomes

Tomes are collections of spells, hero skills, units and special province improvements that a empire may research, as well as a passive ability. Tomes come in 5 tiers. Tier I and II tomes grant +5 Casting Points. Tier III and IV tomes grant +10 Casting Points. Tier V tomes grant +15 Casting Points.



To unlock a higher tier tome, the empire requires knowing at least two tomes from the previous tier. For tier IV and V, the previous tier tomes must also have the same magical affinity.

Tier I tomes are always available for you to research. So for this achievement you will need to research all the spells from each Tier I Tomes. For more information about each tome of magic and its spells, see the achievement descriptions below.

A Wonderful Discovery


Ancient Wonder is a location that has to be manually explored by a single army led by a Hero, triggering a battle with a unique map layout. Depending on empire resources and affinities, it may be possible to reduce the difficulty of the battle or avoid it entirely.



Once cleared, its province can be annexed and the city will gain large bonuses.


Ancient Wonders come in Bronze, Silver and Gold rarity. The rarer the Ancient Wonder, the more difficult its defending army is and the greater its rewards.

Your leader or any other hero has an equipment inventory. As you defeat opponents and find interesting places on the map, you will come across various artifacts and items to equip. To get the achievement, you just need to fill all the slots that the hero has.

Secret Technique

Signature skills are powerful hero skills that increase their magic affinity and grant them a unique ability. They may only be picked every 5 levels. So unlocking this achievement required from you reaching 5 level and choosing a skill at the top side of the screen.



There are 18 signature skills, 3 for each magic affinity, and each time the hero will be offered a list of 6 random signature skills, one for each magic affinity.

easiest way to get paragon is by having a friend tresspass on your land ALLOT, build allot of outposts near you etc etc
then you can spam forgive your grievances against them
youll be paragon in just a few turns

if you dont have a friend to play with, use Megacities, small map, max players
then focus on expanding as far as you can in AI directions so you get claims on the lands surrounding them, which they ofc will then take, this is as far as i know the easiest way to get allot of grievances against AI

For Returning circle accomplishment - I can see Fangir, Artica and Karissa but I can't select the other 3 Godir Yaka, Nimue and Arachna - why is this?

Attempted "Serpentine Storm" as a Dragon Lord with mystic culture by first reaching the Tier 5 Astral Tome and then completing the Naga transformation, dint work :(
im guessing the "arch mage" part of the archivment means Wizard king

So I tried Pruning for Progress and learned every shadow skill possible, but still didn't get it. What am I doing wrong? If I have mods like some extra tombs that are half shadow half something else, do I need to learn all of those too in a single game?

Also I tried 'Master of evilness' in the same game and had a goblin race, all shadow cultural traits and about 21 shadow affinity at the end. I won the game and the achievement didn't appear! Again, what am I doing wrong? Does the hidden achievement need to be unhidden some how first?
