HK P30L from Payday 2

This German pistol is a descendant of the P2000 (the P30 was earlier called P3000 which is a mouthful and sounds preposterous) which itself is based on a USP Compact. The L version has a long barrel and slide, while the SK version is subcompact. The pistol has a decocker on the back of the slide, is entirely ambidextrous, and is available in 9mm and .40 S&W chamberings. One particularly notable appearance of the P30L in mass media is as one of John Wick's signature weapons.


The modding community is a very varied biome. During my modding experiences I've interacted with a lot of interesting folk. Most creators are intelligent, talented people, passionate about what they're making. One such creator started with something simple, then went on to make first person weapon animations at an almost alarming rate. He's been very kind and helpful, provided sources to his animations, but he had worrying impulses at times. Those could be seen as fads or random memery, but at one point he wiped his entire Workshop and moved on with his personal projects. His projects being modeling and animating work, with plenty of his creations seen on his Youtube channel. Some people do move on, and sometimes you need to burn a bridge or two to avoid unnecessary stress of the past. The short movies and memes he made are funny and well animated and you could see he was happy with what he was making.

It seems that oftentimes the most talented, happy-go-lucky people have the most troubled souls. This animation set was one of the last ones (if not the very last) empty worked on. Like half a year ago we've discussed that these over-the-top tacticool reloads are some John Wick level stuff and I was saving those for the HK P30s. Now empty is gone, and making this idea a reality now is the least I can do to commemorate my friend. The first pistol is more or less a John Wick movie gun, with the second pistol having a flashlight and fiber optic sights. Come, raise one for empty in the comments. This world is made poorer by his loss.
