Before you start reading this awakening guide, I'd like to mention that all of these Awakening tier lists are based on the individual strength of each awakening, without considering their potential combinations with each other. For example, if you are aiming for a size Awakening combination like BIGFISH and BUILD DIFFERENT. However, there are some exceptions where I have ranked certain awakenings very highly due to their strong potential when combined with others, such as Juliette's ONE-TWO PUNCH.
Opening Segment
In this Guide, you will learn the current Awakening Meta (as of June 2, 2023./v2.1.8) for each and every Strikers available. Note that you do not need to copy every high-tiered Awakening or combination and you should freely pick each Awakening that fits your playstyle, although it is strongly suggested to consider picking the mandatory/must-have Awakening due to them having a lot of impact and benefits for most strikers.

In this guide you will learn how to:
  • Pick out the ideal Awakenings for your Striker.
  • Pick Awakenings according to the situation.
  • In-depth information on how to play according to the build you've chosen.
Abilities Terminology
Keywords
  • MELEE:
    A type of hit that scales with the striker's size. Strikes, dashes and most short-ranged abilities are considered MELEE hits

  • MOVEMENT ABILITY:
    A subset of abilities that involve some sort of Striker movement- namely a DASH. JUMP, BLINK or HASTE

  • DASH:
    a type of MOVEMENT ABILITY that causes the Striker to dash in a fixed direction and speed

  • JUMP:
    a type of MOVEMENT ABILITY that causes the Striker to jump vertically and land at a predetermined location

  • BLINK:
    a type of MOVEMENT ABILITY that causes the player to teleport to a predetermined location. BLINKS can have a cast time, but the Striker does not physically travel to their destination

  • HASTE:
    a type of MOVEMENT ABILITY that increases a Striker's Speed stat. Hastes usually have a duration
  • PROJECTILE:
    a type of Striker ability that launches a ranged object into the game world

  • CREATION:
    a player-generated object that persists in the game world for a limited time

  • BUFF:
    a positive effect a Striker can grant themselves or an ally. Buffs usually have a duration

  • DEBUFF:
    a negative effect a Striker can apply to enemy players or the Core. Debuffs usually have a duration

  • IMPACT:
    A type of hit that is capable of affecting 2 or more targets simultaneously. Commonly referred to as "area of effect" or AOE
How to check your skills
Go to overview of your desired striker and see what term it has for every ability. You can also check it mid game by hovering your cursor to the ability at the bottom of the screen during a match.

Terminology for the Guide
  • KO
    Short for knock-out, meaning you got knocked out of the map and cannot play until your respawn timer ends.

  • Brawlers
    Brawlers are usually strikers that focus on harassing the enemy team by making them low or threat of getting a KO

  • IF ENEMIES BRAWLERS or Defensive Awakenings
    The “IF ENEMIES BRAWLERS” tier is a mandatory pick if you are struggling or dying every time you are trying to engage with the Core. If both awakening are taken, then you can either take an awakening that increases your stagger, or you fight fire with fire (fight them back)

  • Good Awakening Combinations
    Good awakening combinations are combinations of 2 or more awakenings that increase the power exponentially. For example, Juliette’s secondary-primary combo with Heavy Impact is already good enough on its own, but combined with One-Two Punch, her combo becomes way deadlier.
Juliette


Juliette is known for having some of the most broken combos in the game, such as the secondary-primary combo, which is good for killing unsuspecting enemies near the wall and also for scoring.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = MELEE, IMPACT
  • SECONDARY = MELEE, DASH
  • SPECIAL = MELEE, IMPACT

Awakening for Forward



Juliette is preferably played as a forward so that she could brawl and deal tons of damage to the enemy, the must-have tier awakening brings a lot of KO potential for her, and the very solid tier brings more damage to her kit.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • ONE-TWO PUNCH and HEAVY IMPACT
    Enhances your secondary-primary combo. Easier to get KOs.

  • ONE-TWO PUNCH and TEMPO SWING
    Increases your damage.

  • PERFECT FORM and STINGER
    A deadly combination that could KO/make anyone staggered with time.
Kai

Kai is known for having an insane amount of core control due to the speed from his secondary and projectile from his primary and special to disturb enemies’ core control.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = PROJECTILE
  • SECONDARY = HASTE, BUFF
  • SPECIAL = PROJECTILE, IMPACT

Awakening for Forward



Kai can be played as Forward and Goalie but his speed is what causes him to be an excellent forward, the must-have tier awakening makes him a speedster for maintaining core control, and some of the awakenings from the very solid bring more benefit for your primary and ult.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • AERIALS and PRIMETIME
    Upgrade your haste and slightly longer 2x Primary

  • TWIN DRIVE and CAST TO LAST
    2x Secondary that last longer

  • PRIMETIME and MISSILE PROPULSION
    Way further 2x Primary


Awakening for Goalie



Kai's Primary and Special are what make him an excellent projectile goalie, but his mobility from secondary is what makes him an even better goalie if the core manages to slip into your goal arc.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • PRIMETIME and MISSILE PROPULSION
    Way further 2x Primary, making the Core way further to the enemy side of the field

  • PRIMETIME and HOTSHOT
    2x Primary that reduces the cooldown every time it hits the Core

  • CHRONOBOOST and TWIN DRIVE
    2x faster speed secondary
Dubu

Dubu is known for his defensive potential to deny multiple shots in quick succession. Dubu's log, roll, and tofu are great tools but his thickness is what makes him even better.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = PROJECTILE, CREATION
  • SECONDARY = DASH, MELEE, IMPACT, DEBUFF
  • SPECIAL = PROJECTILE, CREATION

Awakening for Goalie



Dubu is preferably played as a goalie as his skills’ ability to block all strikes and abilities thrown by enemies is what makes him great. But since being slow is one of his biggest weaknesses, taking an awakening that increases Dubu's size will help cover more area to strike and defend much easier.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • BIG FISH and BUILT DIFFERENT
    Makes your size and strike zone bigger

  • TWIN DRIVE and CAST TO LAST
    2x Secondary and longer stun if it hits the enemy

  • BIG FISH and STACKS ON STACKS
    Bigger size + Speed
Estelle

Estelle is known to be an excellent sniper that can disturb enemies' core control by using one of her skills, she's also excellent at destroying barriers or scoring against unsuspecting goalies.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = IMPACT
  • SECONDARY = TELEPORT, PROJECTILE
  • SPECIAL = PROJECTILE

Awakening for Forward



Estelle can be played as a forward and goalie but her low cooldowns on her skills are what makes her considered to be one of the best DPS strikers.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • STINGER and PRIMETIME
    Turns you into one of the best DPS.

  • DEADEYE and ONE-TWO PUNCH
    Blink (secondary) and Primary enemies towards the wall become a deadly combo with these combinations

  • SUPER SURGE and TWIN DRIVE
    Longer Blinks with 2 Charge, good for scoring a goal against off guarded goalie


Awakening for Goalie



Estelle can also be played as a projectile goalie who can keep the ball at the other side while still being in the goalpost.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • PRIMETIME and RAPID FIRE
    2x Primary and lower cooldown, good for keeping the ball at the other side

  • PRIMETIME and HOTSHOT
    2x Primary and reduced cooldown whenever you hit the Core with an ability

  • HOTSHOT and TWIN DRIVE
    Good for saving cross shots/enemies shot to the other side of the goal
Atlas


Atlas is known to be an excellent goalie with his ability to block multiple shots with a single skill (secondary) or disturb enemy core control with primary.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = PROJECTILE
  • SECONDARY = CREATION
  • SPECIAL = CREATION

Awakening for Goalie



Atlas's secondary is what makes him hard to pierce through, it can cover the entire goal with Monumentalist/Timeless creator.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • TWIN DRIVE and TIMELESS CREATOR
    2x Secondary that last longer if bloomed

  • TWIN DRIVE and HOTSHOT
    2x Secondary and reduces every cooldown whenever you hit the Core with an ability

  • HOTSHOT and PRIMETIME
    2x Primary and reduces every cooldown whenever you hit the Core with an ability
Juno

Juno is known for having huge core control anywhere on the map with the help of her blobbos, and she can jump with her secondary to steal the core from the enemies or deal tons of damage.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = PROJECTILE, CREATION
  • SECONDARY = DASH, CREATION
  • SPECIAL = PROJECTILE, CREATION

Awakening for Forward



Juno's Blobbos are powerful tools to maintain core control, and with the help from the must-have tier, she will be even more powerful.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • PRIMETIME and HOTSHOT
    2x Primary and reduces every cooldown whenever you hit the Core with an ability

  • MONUMENTALIST and TIMELESS CREATOR
    Bigger Blobbos that last longer

  • STINGER and PRIMETIME
    Turns Juno into a brawler
Drek'ar


Drek’ ar is known to be a heavy brawler-centric striker due to his primary and special. He can kill anyone on the map as long as they don't have Stagger Swagger.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = MELEE, IMPACT, PROJECTILE
  • SECONDARY = HASTE
  • SPECIAL = PROJECTILE, DEBUFF

Awakening for Forward



Drek’ ar's potential for KOs is very high but with the correct awakenings, he will be an excellent hitman who can kill anyone in the field.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • PRIMETIME and RAPID FIRE
    Increase your Primary into 3 charges and reduced cooldown

  • HEAVY IMPACT and ONE-TWO PUNCH
    KO easier for enemies who like to stand at the edge/near the wall

  • CAST TO LAST and SPECIALIZED TRAINING
    Can make anyone Stagger with your Special
Rune


Rune is known to be an excellent midfielder and scorer that can deny an area on the field with the help of his primary. He is also an excellent damage dealer due to his special.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = IMPACT, CREATION
  • SECONDARY = DASH, IMPACT, CREATION
  • SPECIAL = PROJECTILE, DEBUFF

Awakening for Forward



Rune's core control and area denial from taking one of the awakenings from the Must-Have tier will be significantly better.
Good Awakening Combinations
  • PRIMETIME and TIMELESS CREATOR
    Primary with 2 charges that last longer

  • PRIMETIME and MONUMENTALIST
    Bigger Primary with 2 charges

  • PRIMETIME and HOTSHOT
    Primary with 2 charges and reduced cooldown if you hit the Core with an ability
X

X is known for being a complete brawler-centric character due to all of his skills being KO-heavy.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = MELEE, IMPACT
  • SECONDARY = DASH, MELEE
  • SPECIAL = MELEE, BUFF

Awakening for Forward



X's Special combined with the awakenings from the "Must-Have" tier just turn him into a Mega Brawler who can bully or KO anyone in the field.
Good Awakening Combinations
  • SPECIALIZED TRAINING and CAST TO LAST
    X's Special will do more damage and last longer

  • PRIMETIME and TEMPO SWING
    Deal more damage and Primary has 2 charges

  • SPECIALIZED TRAINING and EXTRA SPECIAL
    Enhances your special damage and cooldown
Era

Era is known for her buff to her friends and debuff for her foes, she can threaten any area of the map with her Special and it also can be used to bully the enemy goalie.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = IMPACT, BUFF
  • SECONDARY = HASTE, BUFF
  • SPECIAL = PROJECTILE, CREATION

Awakening for Forward



Era's Special will become a really good tool with the use of MONUMENTALIST, and her Primary and secondary will be significantly more dangerous with the help of the other awakenings. Cast to Last and Primetime will bully the enemies, turning them small for half of the match if you keep your primary on them.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • CAST TO LAST and PRIMETIME
    Era's Buff and Debuff last longer + 2 charges for Primary

  • PRIMETIME and STINGER
    Primary has 2 charges, it's a very good tool for harassing enemies or potentially KO enemy

  • MONUMENTALIST or AERIALS and MISSILE PROPULSION
    Era's Special becomes way bigger and last longer, the enemy must avoid it or they will take a lot of damage from it
Luna


Luna is known for her deadly missile dash and nuke that can make anywhere a threat if the enemy is not cautious, she is however very hard to master since almost all of her skills are timing sensitive.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = PROJECTILE
  • SECONDARY = DASH, MELEE
  • SPECIAL = IMPACT, PROJECTILE

Awakening for Forward



Luna can be played as a Forward and Goalie but her potential to make space with her Special or nuke to help her team destroy a barrier or score a goal is one of the reasons why she is a good forward/support. The enemy can't ignore the nuke or they will be damaged to high stagger which could lead to them getting KO'd.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • SPECIALIZED TRAINING and EXTRA SPECIAL
    The enemy needs to avoid your nuke or they will either get KO'd or staggered, if they evade you special then you have successfully wasted their Energy

  • PRIMETIME and STINGER
    Primary has 2 charges and deals a lot of damage over time

  • TWIN DRIVE and STINGER
    Secondary has 2 charges and you can deal an insane amount of damage if you hit the enemy


Awakening for Goalie



Luna goalie is uhhh very weird. You need a lot of skill to hit the core with the missile and you need to have the knowledge to predict the game state before dashing (if using eject button) if you do not want the core to leak and risk getting scored. Other than that, she is pretty much the same as a forward but as a goalie.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • PRIMETIME and MISSILE PROPULSION
    Luna's primary is a good tool to either damage the enemies or keep the Core on the other side

  • BUILT DIFFERENT and BIG FISH
    Since Luna doesn't really have a defensive ability, making her strike zone bigger is a good option

  • SPECIALIZED TRAINING and EXTRA SPECIAL
    The enemy needs to avoid your nuke or they will either get KO'd or staggered, if they evade you special then you have successfully wasted their Energy
Asher


Asher is known as the ooga booga scorer since her potential to score a goal is pretty simple, all you need to do is not die (the hard part), bring the ball to you (another hard part) then secondary and primary.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = MELEE, IMPACT, CREATION
  • SECONDARY = DASH, MELEE, BUFF
  • SPECIAL = PROJECTILE, CREATION

Awakening for Forward



Asher can be played as a forward and goalie, but as a forward Asher's hardest part is hitting the ball with the dash when you are trying to score, by taking the awakenings from the must-have, you will have an easier ooga booga scoring experience.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • BUILT DIFFERENT and BIG FISH
    Asher's Primary, Secondary, and Passive also gain size which makes it easier to score a goal

  • PRIMETIME and TWIN DRIVE
    Second time's the charm


Awakening for Goalie



Asher's passive will block the core for a short period of time, it doesn't matter how many strikes it takes, it will never go through her passive. By taking the "Must-Have", nothing will go past you.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • PRIMETIME and BUILT DIFFERENT or BUILT DIFFERENT BIG FISH
    Asher's Primary gains another charge, which means her passive also gains a charge

  • PRIMETIME and HOTSHOT
    Primary has 2 charges and every cooldown is reduced after hitting the Core with an ability

  • TWIN DRIVE and BUILT DIFFERENT
    2 Secondary and Bigger passive
Ai.Mi


Ai.Mi is known for her core control with her primary and secondary, both skills can also be used for getting KOs. Her special is a great zoning tool to pressure the enemy goalie, I’d recommend aiming the end of the turret facing to the barrier or the goal if barriers are already broken.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = IMPACT, PROJECTILE
  • SECONDARY = TELEPORT, MELEE, IMPACT
  • SPECIAL = PROJECTILE, CREATION

Awakening for Forward




Ai.Mi can be played as a forward or goalie, but her secondary and primary are what make her an excellent forward or support, she can follow up with her blink(secondary) if her team needs assistance with scoring or getting KOs.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • SUPER SURGE and MISSILE PROPULSION
    Her Secondary and Primary go further

  • AERIALS and TWIN DRIVE
    Secondary has 2 charges, Secondary and Primary go further

  • AERIALS and PRIMETIME
    Primary has 2 charges, Primary and Secondary go further


Awakening for Goalie



As a goalie, Ai.Mi needs her secondary and primary to deny the ball from getting to your side of the field.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • AERIALS and TWIN DRIVE
    Secondary has 2 charges, Secondary and Primary go further. Disturbing enemy forwards Core control with your blink is a good defense

  • PRIMETIME and MISSILE PROPULSION
    Primary has 2 charges and goes further. Disturbing enemy forwards Core control with your Primary is a good defense

  • AERIALS and SUPER SURGE
    Ai.Mi's blink (secondary) goes way further to the point of reaching the enemy goal gates without leaving your own goal, it is a good offense tool if your forwards need help with scoring or breaking a barrier
Zentaro

Zentaro is a heavy DPS who is also an excellent scorer due to his blink and passive.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = MELEE, IMPACT
  • SECONDARY = TELEPORT, MELEE, IMPACT
  • SPECIAL = TELEPORT, IMPACT

Awakening for Forward



Zentaro's potential to pour damage toward the enemy is massive, especially if you have Stinger and Tempo swing. With those awakenings, a single Zentaro combo will make the enemy staggered in a quick session.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • STINGER and TEMPO SWING
    Zentaro's combo deals an insane amount of damage that could make anyone stagger with time

  • TEMPO SWING and PRIMETIME
    Primary has 2 charges and TEMPO SWING increases your damage by an insane amount

  • TWIN DRIVE and SUPER SURGE
    Secondary has 2 charges that deal more damage and goes further
Rasmus

Rasmus is good at everything. He can ball chase with the secondary. He can force goals against goalies with the help of his secondary and primary abilities. Lastly, he is an excellent fisherman. Rasmus' hook is a unique ability that can bring the enemy or the ball towards him, so use it wisely to prevent own goals or break your own barriers.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = MELEE, IMPACT
  • SECONDARY = HASTE, MELEE, IMPACT
  • SPECIAL = PROJECTILE

Awakening for Forward



Rasmus, on his own, is not a good damage dealer, but with the Siphoning Wand, his damage just can't be ignored. You can chip away at the enemy's health with the primary and secondary abilities, and once they are low, you can use Rasmus' Special, once the STAGGERED enemy passes you, you can finish them off with a primary or secondary attack.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • PRIMETIME and STINGER
    Rasmus' PRIMARY deals an insane amount of damage by applying STINGER to enemy

  • PRIMETIME and RAPID FIRE
    Primary has 2 charges and lower cooldown, good for chipping enemy health

  • SPECIALIZED TRAINING and EXTRA SPECIAL
    Rasmus' SPECIAL will be more powerful and lower the cooldown
Octavia

Octavia is excellent at core control due to her Primary, which can disturb enemy core control. What makes Octavia unique among other strikers is her Secondary ability, which has the opportunity to gain high movement speed that scales infinitely. Octavia's special move is effective for shoving the ball towards the enemy goal and also for KOing unsuspecting enemies who don't have a dodge or don't know how to dodge.

Abilities Keywords:
  • PRIMARY = PROJECTILE, DEBUFF
  • SECONDARY = HASTE, BUFF
  • SPECIAL = MELEE, IMPACT

Awakening for Forward



Octavia's Secondary ability is what makes her tricky to deal with. The longer the buff lasts, the faster she gets. The duration buff from her dash will refresh whenever she hits a unit, whether it's hitting the core, hitting an enemy with her Primary, special move, or Energy Burst/Core Flip.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • CAST TO LAST and CHRONOBOOST
    The duration buff for the secondary ability will last longer, which means you will have a larger time window to refresh it and receive more movement speed.

  • PRIMETIME and RAPID FIRE
    Primary has 2 charges and lower cooldown, good for refreshing the secondary buff duration
Vyce

Vyce is known as one of the best damage dealers and KOers. Vyce's Primary can hit multiple units if they get too close, which is why it is recommended to maximize this ability. Vyce's secondary is a good tool for global presence since she can teleport to it anytime and nullify enemy evades. If they don't evade, they will be stunned. Vyce's Special is a powerful area denial tool, and enemies must respect it because Vyce can make it explode at any time.

  • PRIMARY = IMPACT, PROJECTILE, DEBUFF
  • SECONDARY = TELEPORT, IMPACT, DEBUFF
  • SPECIAL = IMPACT

Awakening for Forward



Vyce's primary is the reason why she is one of the best damage dealers. The ability to hit multiple units at once is incredibly powerful, especially when combined with Siphoning Wand or Stinger to easily destroy enemy health. A tip from the pros is to always use the primary when enemies are grouping up for maximum damage.

Good Awakening Combinations
  • STINGER and PRIMETIME
    Vyce's Primary has 2 charges and can deal an insane amount of damage combined with STINGER.

  • PRIMETIME and HEAVY IMPACT
    Vyce's Primary has 2 charges and lowered cooldown whenever it successfully hits 2 units, making it highly effective for dealing damage to enemies and controlling the core.
