ULTRAKILL: V1 Voicelines (Nick) [SUBTITLES]

Description
This is an optional subtitle pack for the V1 Voicelines (Nick) addon.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS — PLEASE READ THIS
To install the subtitles, you'll need to extract them from the .vpk manually. This will take 10 minutes at most. You'll need GCFscape[nemstools.github.io]for this. After you've downloaded GCFscape, follow these instructions:

Locating the .vpk file and extracting subtitles
1. To locate the .vpk, you'll need to navigate to your game's installation (on Windows it's [DRIVE]/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/{gamedir})
2. After entering your game's installation folder, go to: {gamedir}/left4dead2/addons/workshop/
3. Locate the file containing the subtitles, it should be named: 2966116375.vpk
4. Open the file. If prompted, select GCFscape as the opening method
5. Drag the subtitles_english.dat into a folder of your choice, preferrably the desktop
Making a backup of default subtitles and disabling dlc1 subtitles
6. After performing steps 1-5, go to {gamedir}/left4dead2/resource/, and locate subtitles_english.dat
7. Rename subtitles_english.dat to subtitles_english.dat_old (or any unrecognized extension of choice, just make sure it's not .dat)
8. Do the same to the subtitles_english.dat in {gamedir}/left4dead2_dlc1/resource/ in order to disable subtitles from the Passing DLC (You have to do this, because for some reason you just canNOT replace the Passing subtitles, believe me, I tried, it's not possible, so the only option is to just disable them, and as such, they won't appear in game)
Installing the subtitles from the mod
9. After performing all of the steps above, simply drag the subtitles_english.dat from the mod into the 'resource' folder

If you can't find the VPK, even with the instructions I gave below, then here's the raw file [drive.google.com], hosted temporarily on GDrive

I cant find the VPK, any help? Or, if possible, do you have a link to just download the subtitles file?

honestly no clue, did you check the right directory? i assume you did, but still, on windows it should be C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/left4dead2/addons/workshop ( "~/home/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/left4dead2/addons/workshop" on most linux distros )

if you can't find the file in that folder then go to the top steam directory ("Steam" folder) and perform a search for the filename: "2966116375.vpk"

if it brings up no results then boot up l4d2 and check if the addon shows up in the addons menu. if it doesn't then it hasn't been downloaded. if it shows as subscribed to, but isn't actually downloaded and/or installed, try unsubscribing and resubscribing

The file containing the mod is nowhere to be seen for me in the files, do you know why?

renaming subtitles_english.dat prevents the game from loading them, as the game looks specifically for files named "subtitles_english.dat", thus letting you insert the mod's subtitles under the appropriate name, while also preventing the dlc1 subtitles from showing up.

By renaming the subtitle files, is it supposed to not show any subtitles at all for any of the characters?

as in the file isn't there, or are you having trouble getting to it?
