Thanks in advance for reading the guide guys, I'll be sure to keep the guide up to date! Once 3.0 is out I'll see what new stuff I can add which comes with that update!

If you're feeling generous and feel like donating [streamtip.com]to me, I'd really appreciate it! Of course, you don't have to, and I'm certainly not forcing you to!

(If you're willing to donate and the link doesn't work, add me on steam and tell me <3)

FAQ
How do I craft?
Open up your inventory and click on 'Crafting'.

How do I obtain logs, boards and sticks?
First, find an Axe, Fireaxe or Chainsaw and cut down a tree, once it's cut down the logs and sticks will be on the ground around the tree. To get boards you craft one log in the crafting grid which will give you 4 boards. To get Sticks, pick them up from the ground or put a board in the crafting grid with a handsaw, this will give you 4 sticks.

Where do I get Stones?
First you're going to find a pickaxe, once you obtain one simply keep smashing a boulder on the rocky surfaces, mostly found on hills. The stones and rocks will be dropped around it.

How do I use tools?
Open up the crafting grid and put the tool in the lower left slot.

How do I cook food?
Build a campfire. Once you've build one open up the crafting grid and click on the fire icon. (You have to be near the campfire for it to show up.) Then put your raw venison or raw bacon into the crafting grid and you'll cook it once you take it out.

How do I level up my skills?
First open the 'Skills' tab and simply click on the skill you want to level up, every level will cost more experience than the level before. Your experience is displayed above the skills.

How do I make a campfire?
Put 4 sticks and 4 stones in the crafting grid, this will make a campfire.
The Basics
We're gonna start off with your health, hunger, thirst, disease and stamina. (In this order on the picture.)

Health
Your health starts at 100% and can drop down to 0%, when it reaches 0% you can die. Your health can drop by being hit by a zombie, walking into traps, dieing of thirst or hunger or it can immediatly drop to 0% when you reach 100% disease.

Hunger
Your hunger starts at 0% and will go up untill it reaches 100%, at 100% it will make you lose your health over time. To reduce your hunger you have to eat food which can be found at several looting locations. Berries can be eaten as well but can cause side effects and disease.

Thirst
Same as hunger, it starts at 0% and goes up to 100% and will make you lose your health over time when it reaches 100%. Thirst can be reduced by drinking drinks, found on several looting locations across the map. Berries reduce thirst as well but as stated above, can cause side effects and disease.

Disease
Disease starts at 0% and goes up to 100% where it will kill you. Disease goes up when you get hit by zombies, eating moldy food or drinking moldy drinks, and eating certain berries. Disease can be reduced by several items: Dressings, Vitamins, Vacines, Antibiotics, Medkits and certain berries once crushed with a stone. The skill 'Immunity' reduces the amount of disease you get from zombies and consumables.

Stamina
With energy you can sprint, jump and perform power attacks with weapons [Right click]. The 'Endurance' skill reduces the amount you use. When it is at his highest level you won't use stamina when jumping or using power attacks.
The Map
The map of unturned consists of island and towns.
When wielding the map in-game, a big red X will show your current position.

The Inventory
The inventory

You can move items in your inventory by right clicking them and then left clicking on another slot, if the slot is already occupied the items will change places. This way you also put items in the crafting grid.

The inventory can be seen below:

Apparel
If you click on the Apparel button you'll see yourself on the right of your inventory (You will be visible there by default when opening your inventory). Clicking on clothing/gear which your character is wearing will take it off and put it in your inventory. If there is no space in your inventory it will drop on the floor. If you take off your backpack and you carry too many items or if the items you carry weigh too much, they will be dropped on the floor as well. Equipping a bigger/better backpack won't drop any items except for the previous backpack.

Crafting
Clicking on the Crafting button will replace your character on the right with a crafting grid.

In this crafting grid you will be able to craft items (We'll get to all the crafting recipes later). You put the 1st and 2nd material in the top left and top right slot. The tool will be put in the lower left slot and the outcome will be displayed in the bottom right slot.

Ranged Weapons
Note that the damage is BASE damage, in-game it depends on where you shoot, for example the head does more damage than when shooting in the legs.

Also, for the shotguns it says for example "20% pb", the pb means Per Bullet, as 1 shot of a shotgun shoots several bullets.

Attachments
Tactical Attachments
Vertical Grip, Angled Grip & Bipod
Vertical Grip reduces the vertical recoil when shooting firearms, while the Angled Grip reduces horizontal recoil. The Bipod only reduces the recoil when proning, thus making it great for sniping.

Tactical Light, Tactical Laser & Bayonet
The Tactical Light is rather obvious, it's like a torch/handlamp, but on your gun.
The Tactical Laser is a red laser attached to your weapon, it will basically point a red dot at where you're aiming.
The Bayonet is a melee attachment for your gun.
All the attachments above can be turned off and on, or used, by pressing F.

Barrel Attachments
Muffler & Suppressor
The Muffler reduces gunshot noise, but not as effectively as the Suppressor.

Flash Hider
The Flash Hider hides the flash your gun emits when shooting. This does NOT reduce the sound of the shot fired.

Sight Attachments
There are several sight attachments, like the x6 scope, the x7 scope and so on, they're all very self explanatory, as they're just a different 'sight' on your gun. However, the x6, x7, zoomomatic, x12 and x20 allow you to zoom in further than the regular sight attachments making them usefull for longer range combat.

Heroes and Bandits
The Players
There are different kind of players on multiplayer servers, some are friendly towards everyone while others go around slaughtering everyone, but how can you tell the difference?

If you're in a server and players in the chat are talking, theres a circle infront of their name, the circle has a color depending on their reputation (Can also be seen when pressing 'P' to show the player list).

Most common color of the circles:

Neutrals
Neutral people their circles are white. As seen on the picture above. The middle circle is white, which shows you that they've not made any + or - reputation. Their reputation is at 0.

Bandits
Bandits their circles are yellow, up to red. When their reputation is at -100 their circle will turn into a skull. The most common yellow circle is in the picture above, this shows that they've killed someone who had 0 to 100 reputation. This doesn't prove that they are actual bandits, since they may have killed in self defence which got them their yellow circle. If the circle is orange they have killed a lot of players which got their reputation down. The color turns to orange when they've killed 6 players who had 0 up to 100 reputation.

The orange circle:

The orange circle will afterwards slowly turn into red untill it's completely red, then when you reach -100 reputation it will turn into a skull.

To get the Bandit achievement you must achieve -100 reputation.

Heroes
Heroes have green circles. When the hero their reputation is 100 their circle turns into a gold halo. The most common hero circle is the one in the picture, this circle doesn't prove that they're truly heroes, as it could have been a bandit who has only killed people with -1 to -100 reputation.
When a hero had 6 reputation their circle turns into a more green-ish color.
This shows that they've killed atleast 6 people who had a reputation below 0, most of the times people with a circle like this or even more green, are friendly.

To get the Hero achievement you must achieve +100 reputation.

Tips
Don't go around teaming up with everyone you see, as they can act friendly for a while and then eventually backstab you. The only safe way of teaming up with players is if you actually know them and they are your friend or to be in a steam group together and put the steam group as your In-game group. This can be done by disconnecting from any server you're in and then going to 'Character' and then selecting the 'Group' tab. When you're there you have a list of the groups you're in, simply select the same group as your teammate and you won't be able to hurt eachother in the server when PvP is on. This also shows your teammates name on a estimated 500m range. Clicking on 'No Group' erases your current group putting you out of any group.

Nickname is the name which appears behind your Steam name. Only group members will be able to see this in a server.

If you're in an area or in a group and you don't want the entire server to see what you're saying, press 'K' to switch the Local Channel to the area you're in. I'm not sure about the radius of this, but I assume it is about 100m-200m.
Press 'L' to switch to the Group Channel, only you and your group will be able to see this.
Press 'J' to switch back to the Global Channel.

No matter what channel you're in, you will still see the other 2 channels.

This was the most helpful guide I'd ever used back during the classic times. With the simplest explinations of everything I'd needed to know, and the most up-to-date and helpful recipies outside of the wiki. Even if it's never updated, or he never makes a new one... This shall be appreciated for what it was, at the time... A complete guide to the game.
