I did do something to that effect. When I was experimenting, I left Tamago-yaki at 75 charges, and buffed OmuRice to 250 and 0.3 profitability as it takes more egg and rice to make. It was an attempt to make it profitable to craft the food and sell, over selling the eggs.

Yeah it works perfect now that I did my weird fix, which was deleting the vanilla egg on the old mod. My guess is it tried to spawn both and they cancelled each other out or some weird Chris goblin code like that. Also just found out nutrition value is half the charges put in the food so guess I figured out why tamagoyaki only is worth 37 nu unless you jack the stats in FCS

I should note, the food items created with the changed price may be worth too much now, as they derive their value from the ingredients that go into them. I'll check in on them later

Fixed the price, it uses a different global multiplier than the old egg.

Still not sure how the old egg was causing the issue. With the original mod the vanilla egg could still spawn, but it could not be cooked, only sold. The original mod added a cookable egg to the nest loot, but that nest loot table applies to all nests.
My patch doesn't do a lot, it removes references to the vanilla egg so it cannot spawn anymore anywhere, but should still be lootable and sold if it exists, as the item itself was never modified. My patch modifies the BeakThingEggFoods new egg's value and weight, puts it on its own loot table, and assigns that loot table to beak thing nests.

Image, left egg is vanilla, right is new egg, 'beakegg loot items' is my new addition.

Hopefully this was a little insightful for when you were trying to fix the mod.
If it works now though, yay.

Weird, not sure why that needed to happen, this should just work off the old mod. To be clear, which egg did you delete?
I noted the price difference when I was testing before, I'll look into it. I had them set to the same value, but value multipliers in this game confuse me.

Right so for some bizarre fucking reason deleting the egg in the old mod files fixes the issue, I don't understand at all but it works if that step is done. Then works perfect save for the fact the egg value is lower than vanilla (it's 3500 with mod, should be 4200)

Nope, both mods installed and can't pick them up, I don't understand why

@KaddicusElfslayer It sounds like you're trying to use just this patch. You need both the original mod and this patch enabled below it. This patch uses the same eggs they made for the original mod and doesn't work without the egg provided by that mod.

Their new egg is just a functional food item that can be used in recipes while the old egg is nest debris that can only be sold to vendors

Right so just tested it, seems like it's an issue with the original mod as opposed to this patch. Maybe something with how they made the new eggs?
