Create Floating Islands / Sky Castles

In this tutorial i explain how you can create floating islands in Valheim and even how to put it in a dedicated server.
this is not a building tutorial, but a simple explanation how to make the boulders/rocks float in the sky.

placing floating islands in Valheim is actually very simple, you just got to know what you are doing.
especially when you want to do this on a dedicated server


- you can only place floating islands when you can use devcommands

- for dedicated servers this means take your world save offline, and load it up on a local game so you can edit it, after you are done you save it, and upload it back to the server, just like you would do with a manual backup.

1 - while you are in the game where you want the floating island; press F5 to open console
2 - type 'devcommands', then 'debugmode', and if you want to make it saver also use 'ghost'
3 - after this you can press Z to activate flying mode
4 - go to the location you want the island to float in the air and press F5 again
5 - now place your floating rock with the command 'spawn XXXXX' (where XXXX can be any type of rock you want, for example rock2_mountain, pay attention the smaller rocks will not stay in the air, only the big boulders)
(first it might look like nothing happened, but that is because you are inside the rock, so move your character a bit and the rock should become visible in your screen)


and there you have it, you can search for the list of rocks and boulders spawning ID's to find the one you want.
after this for dedicated servers just upload the save files that has your floating island in it and you should be done.
(dont forget to place a portal upon the island before you go back into building online on the server, otherwise you cant get back up there without the debugmode, lol speaking from experience)
