The original Lee Enfield mod is not explicitly required, but it is recommended as the sound mod was designed for it.

I decided to make a cry of fear sound mod for this, since there was none present at the time of posting, and since Cry Of Fear's hunting rifle is an actual Lee Enfield. Hope you enjoy it.

[post edit]: I found a great script mod for this, if you want the closest experience to COF's lee enfield as possible.

DON'T USE BOTH THE ORIGINAL SOUND MOD AND THIS AT THE SAME TIME, ONLY USE ONE AT A TIME.

Known bugs:
Cockroaches
Also if you swap weapons during the 'bullet insertion' part of the reload, it makes a high pitched screech. im not sure how to fix this because im really inexperienced, but a good fix is to just wait until that part is over.

@surytrap said to just type 'snd_updateaudiocache' in console and let it finish, regarding the screech bug.
The screech bug seems to have fixed itself though..?
