Description
Current Status:

Right now I'm trying to find the right balance for hardcore survival players. My goal with this addon is for very good survival teams to last between 10-15 mins, intermediate players to last between 7-10 mins, less serious players to last up to around 4-7 minutes, and beginners to get crushed :p

Description

Survival with 20 maximum special infected at once, and more than double special infected spawn rate.

SI Limits

Boomer = 3
Spitter = 3
Smoker = 5
Hunter = 5
Charger = 3
Jockey = 3

Use the in-game Mutation menu if playing locally.

For server owners please put the hardtwentysurvival.build6.vpk into the left4dead2/addons folder and in console type map <map name> hardtwentysurvival.

I cant quite tell if this is being enabled... Will this work if I use regular servers or do I need to do my own fancy server hosting?

@Freelancer17 EMS stands for Extended Mutation System. I think your idea is fantastic, however, I am uncertain if the EMS is capable. I can definitely code for sourcemod, I don't know about EMS. If I were to make such a mod however, it would be separate from this as the point of this mutation is to make things hard.

I think the AI Director system of l4d is trying to give some dynamic response according to players' skill. But, after watching the video of this mod, It's obvious that the players want to choose their play style by themselves. So why not give them the control and reward them according to their choice ? That's the reason i gave out such advice below.

@Freelancer17 That's a cool idea. I'm not exactly sure if the EMS is sophisticated enough to pull that off custom menus and the like, but I know for sure that it's possible doing it with sourcemod.

hey,how about letting the players modify the special infected while playing ?Like spawn rate , num per spawn and races per spawning. And reward the players according to the difficulty they choose?
