Kuvaus
Babies props and crafts for RP. Biberon, wearable baby carriers, baby formula and nappies.
Monkey plush toy. Babies (and the Monkey plush) can be equipped as primary or secondary objects for extra cuteness.

What the Babies can do for me?

The Babies are for RP mainly. They don't spawn, and can't be foraged or crafted. If you play on an MP server the admins need to spawn them for you. This is to avoid incorrect "use" of the props.

The Babies can't die, no matter how hard you try.

The babies are still cute, but now they will cry and you need to feed them!

Babies need to be fed at least every 6 hours, otherwise they will start crying, attracting zombies. You can feed the children every 4 hours, but if you try to do it before 4 hours, the child will vomit.

The Baby item type is "alarm clock". Babies function like a watch marking the time and the alarm (when they will start crying if not fed). Unfortunately, this is the only solution I found to make the baby cry work.

Future developments:

  • babies crying will attract zombies
  • ability to feed babies to stop them from crying DONE
  • option to "play" with the babies to make them stop crying and increase the character's happiness
  • trait "parent": interacting with a baby will affect your mood.

just make a sandbox option for single player to spawn in with a random child.
instead of having to use cheats or admin commands to spawn them in.
its just way easier and immersive for single players.

Hey! Could you vary the babies a bit more, maybe? Make some molds with blond babies, some black babies for example, some redheads? I love your mod so much! Another suggestion would be to be able to "introduce food" to the babies after so many months in the game have passed, because I had a bit of trouble finding their milk.

For attracting zeds to the baby you can use: getWorldSoundManager():addSound(source(player for example), x(player x), y(player y), z(player z), radius(int), volume(int), doesItStressHuman(bool)) - calling that from client or sever or anywhere I believe will use the WorldSoundManager that will affect all players. I am not sure what is going on with the echoing baby tho. Fun mod!

On multiplayer dedicated server the person holding the baby only hears one baby cry, but people near that person, hear lots of babies crying. Like a beautiful chorus of babies. Any idea or reports on that?

Thoughts on the breastfeeding, potentially code it as an unlimited milk bottle that can't be interacted with and appears in the players inventory to indicate they have the ability. But have it act like a sledge hammer when used so it exerts you as a nerf.

Can you make it so female players have a 50/50 chance of being able to Brest feed? Leaving them tired with maybe a calorie drain like exercise? Or alternatively add the ability to feed the baby cows milk? Maybe nerfing it so it required a more regul feed Vs baby formula? I always struggle to find formula.
