How to get XP

This guide will show you the mechanics of gaining XP.
You will be able to grow your character three times faster by knowing it.

There are different types of XP.

Different types of zombies have different XP.
You can see that stronger zombies have more XP.
By the way, the higher your level or your team's level, the stronger zombies will appear.

(Character)XP earned in multiplayer

Playing with multiple players will give you more XP than playing alone.
That's because stronger zombies appear.

You get XP even if other players kill zombies.
No matter who kills the zombies, you get XP from them.

The XP earned by each character depends on each character's Rank order.
The higher your character's Rank order, the higher the XP you get.

Additionally, disconnecting from the internet immediately after starting a mission will give you XP, which is the maximum rank order of 20, which is equivalent to levels 95-99.
The formula is "XP-online = XP-offline x {{your rank order}} / 20".

For example, here's a normal Zombie Pods map played with 3 characters, level 20, level 40, and level 60.
If Offline immediately after starting a mission, each character gets the same amount of XP.
For Online, each character gets XP obtained offline multiplied by Rank order/20.

A Lvl 40 character is Rank order 9, earnining 5,224 when Online and 11,989 when Offline.
Apply these to the above formula.
5,224 and 5,395.05 (= 11,989 x 9 / 20) are nearly equal.

(Character)Earn up to 16x XP with Boosting

You can get up to 16x more XP in multiplayer by turning off the internet immediately after starting a mission.

For example, compare a normal Zombie Pods map with a level 20 character played alone and with 3 level 100.
A level 20 character got 2816 XP when playing alone. Earned 45916 XP by playing with 3 level 100 characters and taking them offline immediately after starting the mission.
This difference was 16.3 times (=45916/2816).
Generally, this method is called "Boosting".

Boosting" is more effective when the character's level is low and other characters' levels are high.
Finding high-level players to support you is your task.
The following methods may be considered.

• Get another player randomly in multiplayer
  
• Get high level players on SNS
  
• Create one additional account for yourself

(Character)Is Self Boosting no longer possible?

One player said.
You can play multiplayer on multiple devices with one account.
This method is called "Self Boosting".
If you use "Self Boosting", you can get a lot of XP with only one account of your own.

But in version 2.0.1 I couldn't do "Self Boosting".
When trying to play a private match on multiple devices, only one character appears in the lobby.
As a result, the mission cannot be started.

(Character)Play daily events

You can earn XP by playing daily events.

The following events are arranged in order of efficiency in earning XP.

1. Virus Samples
   
2. Apocalypse
   
3. Last Man Standing

In Virus Samples, zombies spawn one after another, so you might earn a lot of XP.
As mentioned above, you get XP even if other players kill zombies.

(Character)Get 2x XP with contracts

Play zombie hotspot of contracts. Then you will get 2x XP per zombie killed.
You can play zombie hotspot of contracts by level 4 or more

You can always play zombie hotspot of contracts by setting off the Internet and changing the OS date and time.

(Character)Get 1.5x XP with prem gun

Use premium guns. Then you will get 1.5x XP per zombie killed.

(Character)XP is reduced to 1/3 for failed missions

You should complete your mission.
Otherwise the XP you should get is reduced to 1/3.
So you shouldn't press the Hamburger button "≡" and select "Quit".

Particular attention should be paid to: How to deal with each is described below.
If you want to get out of the middle of a daily event, turn off the internet.
If you want to get out of a faction mission alone, get killed by zombies.

If you leave a faction mission with internet turned off, planetary milestones will not update. Be careful.

XP for weapon type is 1/kill.
Both bosses and worms are 1/kill.
1/kill even in multiplayer.
You don't get XP when other people kill zombies.

(Weapons)Get 1.5x XP with prem gun

Killing zombies with a prem gun grants 1.5x XP for that weapon type.
For example, killing 10 zombies gives you 15 XP.

(Weapons)Automatically get XP on Zombie Pods maps

Infinite zombie spawns from multiple Purge Nests on the Zombie Pods map.
Killing the zombies without destroying the Purge Nest will give you infinite XP.
However, the player's XP is less.

Being AFK in pods map is good to get a lot of XP of weapon mastery.
AFK means "Away From Keyboard".
Don't fail the mission, otherwise weapon mastery XP earned is reduced to 1/4.
Prem guns: +50% weapon type mastery XP.
Character XP is too little.

Do the following steps.

1. Buy enough ammo
   
2. Play in zombie pods map
   
3. Destroy some purge nests (not all)
   
4. Shoot automatically to be AFK
   
5. Complete the mission

As a result.

• LMG: lvl1 93 -> lvl2 4606 (+14513 = 10000-93+4606)

The chart and table below show AFK times and kills/weapon mastery XP for lvl 25 character.
Note that weapon mastery XP starts increasing after 40 minutes.

(Armor)Which armor pieces get XP

There are five types of armor: Helmet, Vest, Gloves, Pants, and Boots.
Only one piece of armor gains XP is randomly determined at mission completion.
You don't get XP for parts that aren't wearing armor.
No XP will be awarded for parts that have already reached mastery level 5.

(Armor)Gain XP when completing a mission

You only get XP when you complete missions.
The amount of damage taken from zombies and the number of times you take them are not related to XP.

(Armor)Failed missions don't give any XP

If you fail a mission, you don't get any XP.
You should complete your mission.

(Armor)How to get faster

To get XP faster, do the following:
Take off some armor and lower your defense.
Play Faction missions and get killed by zombies in no time.
Or play Last Man Standing and get killed by zombies in no time.
In a few minutes you will have enough XP for one mission.

(Armor)XP earned for one mission

The amount of XP you get from a single mission is basically randomized between 500-750.
If the armor is grade 10, the XP you get is 1.5x. Grades 9 and below or 11 and above do not have this bonus.
If the armor version is RED, the XP you get is 1.5x.
So in summary:

Placing a turret gives 100/turret XP.
Independent of turret type.
You don't get XP for killing zombies with turrets.

Even if you use "T-189 MGL" (This prem gun throws grenades), you do not get XP for grenade mastery at all.
