71-414 "Pesa Fokstrot"

Pesa Twist is a family of low-floor articulated trams produced at the Pesa factory in Bydgoszcz, Poland. This tram can be both in one- and two-cabin versions and can be operated in three versions: narrow gauge (1000 mm), standard (1435 mm) or wide gauge (1520 mm). The first order for Twist trams was made by Częstochowa, who bought seven standard gauge single-cabin cars.
PESA was supposed to produce 120 Twist trams of modification 71-414 (Fokstrot) for Moscow, but only 60 were delivered to Moscow by January 2015. All delivered cars work at the Krasnopresnensky tram depot. In order to comply with the norms of Russian legislation, which restrict public procurement of equipment manufactured by countries outside the EAEU, a contract was signed between Uralvagonzavod and PESA on the joint production of trams. Thus, although all the actual work was carried out in Poland, the tram is considered Russian according to the documents. At the same time, due to the fall of the Russian ruble that began in the second half of 2014, UVZ was unable to fully pay for its order with PESA, which led to the termination of the contract by Moscow. The enterprise produced 90 trams as a whole and 30 as a complete body structure. At the end of 2016, after some strengthening of the ruble, 10 more trams were delivered, after which Moscow refused to continue deliveries of trams.
