This is the most official unofficial guide of Unturned for Noobs that you'll ever come across. Take your time to read this if new to the game to truly understand the game. Now adding Videos! Better quality screenshots will be replaced in the future! Made By Rocko

Your HUD(if you already know please skip to the next section)

Note: This is a guide for begginers only, if you already know how to play don't waste your time reading this. Unturned is a Minecraft+DayZ+Roblox indie game. How to survive:When you spawn you are gonna want to look for a melee weapon right away as shown here. Your HUD has a Hunger Bar, A Water Bar, A Heath bar(of course) and a Toxicity Bar, Also a Stamina Bar. You can refill your Hunger Bar by eating food just in case you didn't know that. You can get food just about anywhere. You can find food in cities, in the airport, the military base, a lot of places. The best source for food is farming which we will cover later. Now the Water Bar. You can refill this by drinking Cola, Orange Juice, Milk, Water, all that goodstuff. The best source of water is from a canteen as shown in the picture on the right. You can find canteens just about anywhere. This is the best source of liquids because you can drink and refill it endlessly, making The Water Bar no problem. Now your Toxicity Bar. Getting bit by zombies will increase your Toxicicty, as well as eating some nasty, gunky, moldy food. Note: Moldy liquids can be purified with purification tablets. Eating some bad berries could do some harm to your Toxicity too with results like explosive bowel movements or make you trip as shown here.Green Berries are safe. Pink Berries are safe. Pale Berries are safe but cause hallucinations. Purple Berries are bad. Blue Berries are very bad. And Red berries are bad too. Now your Stamina Bar. Your Stamina Bar will decrease if you Jump, Do power attack, Sprint, and climbing up ladders fast. You will not have to have stamina to do these things filling up your stamina skill bar. Now for the Health Bar. This is the most important bar in the game. Your health will decrease by: Getiing munched by zambies, explosions, traps, bleeding, starving, dehydration, if your very sick. If your health is very very low around 30 to 40 your vision will get black and white. As shown here. Filling up your Health Bar. There are many ways to heal such as: Rags, Bandages, Dressing, antibiotics, Blood bags, Medkit, Painkillers, Morphine, Vaccine , Adrenaline, Vitamins, Purification Tablets. Many ways to keep healthy. Heres what happens when you eat berries.

Surviving Your First Night

So now you want to play the game. Isn't really fun unless you know how to play it. So I'm going to teach you the basics. You spawn at the shore with a flashlight some apple juice and a chocolate bar. And your naked. Now you don't have to dress yourself in the game, it's totally optional, but i don't think you want to play mutiplayer when your scrotum is exposed. Try to find a city. Cities have weapons, clothes, food, meds, all the good stuff. Approaching your first city you have 2 options. 1: Go loud like a moron and fight every zombie with your puny fists. Or 2: Go stealth, slowly creeping behind zombies press Z to go prone and X to crouch. Going slow looting, without attracting as much attention and dress your nude body. So now that youv'e looted the city, chances are you found a melee weapon. All the melee weapons are: Axe, Pick, Baseball Bat, Crowbar, Police Baton, Handsaw,Chainsaw, Katana, Machete , Kitchen Knife, Pocket Knife, Butcher Knife, SledgeHammer etc. But if you don't find a melee weapon which is highly unlucky. There is a method of the fist. Goin Kenpo Karate on those freaks. Punch them in the face while stepping back and they will never get to you. Sleeping Bags are very important. Press F to claim it so when next time you die you'll spawn at your base. You can find a sleeping bag or you can craft a sleeping bag with 7 duct tape and 5 pieces of cloth. So you've placed your sleeping bag down and sitting in the dark. Well there is a way to get light very easily. You'll need a pickaxe and some sticks. Go mine a rock. Craft the rock into stone. With 3 stone and 4 sticks you'll get a campfire that you can light and extinguish with F. Congrats. You've survived a Day in Unturned as a NOOB. For more info watch this video made by eNtaK.

Farming

Your second day in Unturned and your probably starving right now not knowing what to do. The awnser is Farming! Farming is the best source for food. So I'm going to teach you new people how to farm. First off you need seeds. Seeds can be found everywhere. But where your gonna want to look in the Botanist Shop. It always has seeds and sometimes fertilizer. So you find a seed. And you plant it. You now have an endless foodsource. All Plant Types: Potatoe,Corn,Tomatoe,Carrot. So your plant has fully grown. You have 2 options. Eat your crop or you can craft it to get 2 seeds. If you keep on multiplying the seeds you'll get a farm like this in no time. So you have a full grown farm and you want an upgrade. Or maybe your just tired of foliage blocking your beautiful plants. Well you can get a Greenhouse Platform or Greenhouse Foundation. Simple: Platform is a ceiling and you put the foundation on the floor. The goodthing about a greenhouse is that it makes plants grow 3 times faster and no foliage gets in the way. Plus it looks way cooler. You can get A greenhouse with one platform or foundation with some rope and some 3 cloth. And there you have it. A beautiful farm. For more info check this video out.

Making A Shelter.

You are tired of not having a shelter and doing everything outside. So I am going to go over the basics of shelter making.This was my shelter when I was a noob just like you. Very rugged and sloppy. The problem was I didn't let the walls or foundations snap into place. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE. To make a shelter you need foundations. To make a wooden foundation you need 3 wooden frames that recquire 2 wooden plates that recquire 2 wooden boards that require one log. Yes very annoyingly complicated process. But that is only the beggining. Now that you have some flooring in your house your gonna want to have some walls of course but they sadly require pillars. How to craft pillars:you need 4 sticks to craft 2 wooden supports. Then a pillar and 2 wooden frames get you a wall. Now a roof over your head. 3 Wooden Plates and 1 Wooden Cross to make a Platform. A doorway requires 1 Wall and 1 Wooden Support. A door needs 1 Wooden Frame and 1 Bolt. To make a window you need 1 Wooden Doorway and 1 Wooden Support. Then you need 1 Door and 1 Bolt to make a Wooden Shutter. Now you have a Shelter. Congrats.

Zambies.

Zambies. Stupid mindless creatures wanting to slurp your intestines up like ramen noodle soup. There are only 2 types of zombies so far. There's a walker. Then there's a crawler.Doesn't really matter cause they're both stupid. Making only 4 different zombie sounds. They don't roam in fact all they can do is see and smell. There are many kind of different zombies. Chef Zombie is wanting to cook me up All types of zombies:Chef Zombie, Cop Zombie, RCMP Zombie, Civilian Zombie, Desert Military Zombie,and Forest Military Zombie. Out of all zombies the civilian zombie is the fastest. The military zombies are the strongest due to their armor that absorbs bullets. Zombies are most effected when hit in the head(DUH). Crawlers are more difficult to kill. Especially a military crawler. Those things are a pain in the as$. Makes it harder to hit their head due to there low position and will also kill you faster than a regular walker. Now you now what to expect out of these morons

PEI

PEI is the map you play in. PEI is based of Prince Edward Island. This was decided by a teenager named Nelson Sexton. Nelson lives in Canada. PEI has lots of cities and Trees. Including a golf course. PEI has a dissapointingly small map right now but still fun to play in. Heres a breathtaking view of the mountains and trees. Let's start with the city names.

O Leary Military Base
• O Leary Military Base is the only Military Base in PEI making it ta very popular base to raid. You can find lots of stuff here. Like MREs and Guns & Attachments. At the entrance you can find 2 Canada Flags. The only zombies are Military Zombies. APCs can be found in the hanger but very rarely. There are 4 lookout posts in every corner making good sniper outposts. Green or Dark Yellow Humvees can be found here too as well as 2 gas tanks. It also has the only Shooting Range in PEI.
  
• BuryWood
• BuryWood. The name comes from the AMC original series hit TV show The Walking Dead S.3 . Except to avoid copying they reversed Woodbury into Burywood.
• Alberton
• Alberton is a great city for supplies. Similar to Charlotte Town. This town has more houses than buildings. It has a gas tank and a Dock. Alberton also includes a boat with a ladder to climb on. Alberton also has a Botanist and Pizza Place.
• St. Peters Island
• St. Peters Island is a small island located in the middle of the ocean between the town Alberton and the parking lot by Montague. It is the only place where you can find a crashed helicopter. Surrounded by military zombies. You can find all sorts of military goodies. Such as: Smoke Grenades,Frags,NVGs and much much more.
• Radio Tower. And no. It is not activatable like in Far Cry 3. This Radio Tower can be located by the top of the mountain next to Wiltshire Farm. Every time you pass it, I recommend you take a look because there is a chance of loot spawining on top. I once found an MRE on top of the tower.
  
• Charlotte Town
• Charlotte Town is a big town. It has a dock that includes no boat. But on the bright side, it does have a gas station and a diner. On the left of the city you will find a tall mountain. This is a great place to make a little shelter or a watch tower. You can see the whole city from up there. As shown here. You can see the houses here. Charlotte Town does has a fair amount of zombies though.
• Confederation Bridge
• The Confederation Bridge is one of the most unique locations to go to. It's a very, very, very, very...........you know what I mean. A very long bridge. It is sorrounded by medical tents with all sorts of meds. There is also a chance for a humvee or maybe a APC to spawn there. Under the bridge it will say, death is mad, written in blood. On the bridge there are cars that will dissapear as you walk farther. If you keep on walking you will hit an invisisble wall. This will activate the achievement: A Bridge Too Far.
• Courtin Island
• Courtin Island is medium sized island located right of Belfast Airport. This is the only place where you'll find a crashed boat. Also located in the middle of the island, a table with a chessboard on it. Walk close to it and you will activate the achievement Chess.
• Outins Isle
• Outins Isle is a super small island located at the tip of Summerside Peninsula. There is really nothing here. Except trees. Grass. Nothing else. Except that wierd mannequin on those cardboard boxes...........
• Summerside Peninsula
• Ahhhh. A beautiful peninsula home of the filthy stinkin rich. Formerly people now among the walking dead. This place has a beautiful golf course with a lovely light house to break your leg.
• Wiltshire and Fernwood farm. They're both farms not much to it.
• Belfast Airport
• This place is full of goodies. There are 2 medical tents here with a lookout tower, or whatever it is. It has a gas tank. With a plane!(non drivable don't be dissapointed) There are also 2 hangers. There are a fair amount of zombies that lurk here.
• Keningston Campgrounds
• Keningston Campgrounds is very very small. It is right next to Charlotte Town. It has little cabins and tents with a picnic table. It also features a black barbecuue thing.
• The Bunker

The Bunker

Holman Island The Bunker is probably one of the best places to loot. Many rare items have a big chance spawing there. It's where I found my first Zubeknakov! (which is ak-47) This place can be found on Holman Island next to Wiltshire Farm. The Bunker was added in the very early updates, so it has been around for some time. You may have to take a little swim to get there. When you get there you will see a PRIVATE PROPERTY sign. Showing you this place might have some good stuff. You will also see stone walls surrounding the place. There is a gas tank there as well. You can find a bunch of big colored crates with a chance for loot to spawn there. There is also a house with a ladder leading underground. This is the bunker. As you climb down the ladder you will see a table flipped over with 3 rooms. Please know that zombies do spawn in the bunker before you think of making a base in the bunker.

Arena

Wild wilderness with no hope or contact with civilization. Survival at it's roots. This is the arena. A place where the hardcore people go. No zombies, no cities, nothing, just pure wilderness. If you think your a good enough player to survive in these parts then good luck, you'll need it. Of course if your a noob you could go into arena, get some stuff and start out easier but that's cheating, or you'll just feel guilty. When you first spawn in the arena you'll be surrounded by stones. Large Pillars. Each piller will have something useful. For instance, You could find a canteen, longbow, arrows, axe, pickaxe, and more. You will spawn with a torch, a candy bar, and apple juice, you may want to use or drop these to make room for more loot. If you don't have enough room you could always get a longbow and kill animals. They will drop animal pelts. They can be used to make clothe if you don't like to be nude. You can also make an animal pack. The only craftable backpack in game. Now if you are out of food and arrows you can have berries. To see the good berries and bad ones go to the first section HUD. If you are out of ammo for your longbow you could always go into PEI and get some nails but that is what a coward would do. You could go back to the stone pillars to see if any nails or arrows respawned. Well now you know the basics of the Arena. If you lose your stuff in Arena you lost your stuff in PEI too. Their both synced.

What to always have with you

Sometimes when your looting an area things might go unplanned. Tired of dying? Want to reduce your chance of dying? Want to become a better player? Then your in the right section my friend. Because i'm going to tell you what you should always have with you, and why you need it. Let's start off with stuff in general. Backpacks. These are one of the keys to surviving in this apocalypse. Backpacks are one of the most useful items in game allowing you to carry more stuff and weight. The AlicePack. The alicepack is useful for carrying heavy items like rocks and logs with a max of 20 kg. The alice pack is black and great for stealth to blend into the night. The Rucksack. Rucksacks are (in my opinion) the best backpack in game. It has a green color to it, making it great for stealth during the daytime because it allows you to blend in with the foliage. This bag can carry only 17.5 kg but it has 5 more slots than the alicepack. Your desicion to which one you like better. Also the alice pack and the rucksack enable a 5th hotbar. If you have bad luck finding them. The next resort would be the coyote pack, the 3rd best backpack in game. Gear and Tools: Now you don't need it but having a firearm in your inventory will not hurt. You can avoid detection in multiplayer using Flash Hiders and Suppressors. You will give away your position using Tactical Lights and Red Dot Sights. Hydration: I don't even care what you think but this is an absolute must have. The Canteen. The Canteen is another important item in the game. This is a unlimited water supply that you can refill at a shore or well. Bandages: Quick tommy get me bandages i'm bleeding! Sorry Matt don't have any....BOOM you bled to death. This is an amazing item that comes in handy especially pvp. Always have 2 or 3 bandages with you at least. Trust me. It will come in handy. Plenty ways to bleed like being hit, shot, or in an explosion. Bandages will cure it. Tools. To survive you must make a base or shelter. Whatever I don't care. These can be built with an axe or chainsaw. You also must have a handsaw to make crafting much faster. Well hope you know now what to carry. Hope this helped. And the other slots....you put whatever you want in there.

Barricades & Defending Your Base.

Just in case you don't know you should NEVER build around the zombies. They can actually attack your base and make it dissapear if you let them long enough. That's why there are booby traps. To keep (or kill) unwanted visitors. Traps: Caltrops, Snare, Wooden Spike Trap, Barbed Wire, Barbed Wire Fence, Electrical Fence, Electric Trap, C4, Tripmine, Landmine. WARNING: Only Noobs put bombs right next to their base so it can blow the whole thing up. DON'T BE A NOOB. Barricades are great for defense also to keep cover when in a gunfight with some bandits. A metal shield is recommended providing cover with a hole to shoot through. All Barricades:Sandbags, Wooden Shield, Metal Shield, Wooden Shutter. When in cover it's good to lean and shoot.

Vehicles

Vehicles make Unturned much easier. Allowing you to travel PEI much faster. The basics of driving. There are only a couple types of vehicles. Civilian Car, Roadster, Truck , Van, Humvee, Police Car, Ambulance, Firetruck, And the most rarest the APC. A big and slow Military Truck that can carry up to 6 players and has the most durability. The humvee is a small version of the apc and more common. The Truck which is the slowest truck. And the Ambulance, Firetruck, and Police Car have sirens which can be turned on pressing CTRL . The Roadster is the fastest Car in the game. Going at 72 km. per hour. Always stop at a stop sign. You will notice more bars appear when in the vehicle. There is a gas bar. Some cars take 200 fuel units but most only take 100 units. You can fill the gas bar up by using gas cans that fill up 25% of the car when 0. You can fill the gas cans using gas tanks. Which are found almost anywhere. Then there is the 0 km/hr which shows how fast your going. At last the F1 to F6 buttons. Pressing f1 or f2 will switch seats. Ex:You press F4 and you move to the 4th seat in the car. Right click to turn on headlights for better driving during night time Left Click to honk horn. All cars have the same horn and siren which is very dissapointing. Zambies. When in a car it will alert a lot or all zombies in the area due to the engine noise. Do not think your safe in a car if a horde is around you. If they're not hurting you they're hurting the car. Once the car is beat up to much you'll see grey smoke come out. Then black smoke, then fire.You will automatically be kicked out of the car when theres a fire. And I recommend you run away because it is about to explode. The bottom picture shows what happens when the car explodes. Blood Everywhere. But if you like your car and it's not too late then there is a way to save it. Blowtorches. Spray the car long enough with the blowtorch and the smoke will dissappear saving your car. Now let's say your car isn't damaged. But it's stuck and you can't get it out. Carjacks. Carjacks can get any car out of a sticky situation. So ALWAYS have a spare Carjack and Blowtorch handy. W to accelerate. D to turn right. A to turn left S to reverse. To fill the cars up you need a gas can. To refill the gas can you need a tank.

Breaking Your Leg

What happens when you fall too far? This is one of the many things Unturned lacks. Taking Fall Damage. You can build a skyskraper 1,000 feet in the air. Jump off and not put a dent in your health bar. As shown in the picture I am on top of a light house about to jump off. Now you think I'm plummeting to my death. WRONG! As you can see I still have 86 health. But if you look closely you'll see a bone with a red line across it in the bottom left corner. Breaking your leg will make you: Not be able to sprint, walk slower, and not be able to jump. This can be cured quickly with a splint. Hunting

Hunting. One of the most unused potential subjects in Unturned. With only 2 Animals to hunt. Pretty disappointing. There's the deer and the Pig. Ahhhh the majestic deer. Such Beauty. As you can see it drops animal pelts and raw venison. The Venison can be cooked into food using fire. And the animal pelt can be used to make clothes and the animal pack. The only craftable backpack in the game. You will recieve the Achievement Hunter when killed 100 animals. Here are some tips to make you get that achievement much easier and faster. Killing Animals With A firearm: If you want to get some food or maybe some xp or just the achievement. Using the firearm is the best way to go to kill animals. Having a suppressor will make the job easier. If you don't have a suppressor firing a weapon will scare any other animals in the vicinity. Most animals can be found in the arena. The Arena has no zombies so they won't get in the way. Now the pig. The pig is very slow and small and pathetic. Instead of dropping Venison they drop Bacon which is more tastier. Animals are most effected being shot in the head (DUH). What if you want to go classic style with your hunting. Melee. I will show you an easy way to kill animals with a melee weapon. Chase the animals into the water. When they go into the water keep on chasing them. Since the animals can't swim they will run back to you. Allowing you to shank them in the face with your melee. Here is what a pig looks like. Don't you want to rip the bacon of it's legs? Pigs will also drop animal pelts. But instead of Venison they drop BACON!!! Venison and Bacon can be cooked over a fire so they dont make you sick. Note : You can use fire in the crafting table by standing close to a campfire. So know you know the basics of hunting. What Is Gold MemberShip?

When you first get the game you get the free version. You can still have lots of fun in the free version. Free version comes with Easy Mode, Normal Mode, And Hardcore Mode. You'll notice that there is a Gold Mode but that is only for people with Gold MemberShips. Like me! Free version also has white user enterface. It has a selection of different hairs, faces, and skin colors shown here. You also have a choice to be Right or Left handed. You have Normal Experience for instance. Killing a civilian zombie will get you 3 xp. Killing a Sheriff or police zombie wil get you 4xp. And doing power attack in the head to a military zombie will get you 5 xp. Xp can get you skills in the skill tree. Like Survival: Slower Starvation & Dehydration. Sneaky Beaky: Less Agro & Noise. Immunity: Less Disease More Vitality. Warrior: Do More Take Less Damage. Marksman: Better Accuracy & Recoil. Endurance: More Stamina & Agility. You will also get normal loot drops. Now to gold version is much funner and easier. Gold Version is 4.99$ if you can't afford that. That's pretty sorry. 5 bucks is worth it. It enables a Sleek Darker User Interface. As shown here. You also get 10 xp maximum for killing military zombies. There is also Double Loot Drops. More hair,faces,skin colors. More exclusive items like the suit and shades. And the bandana. You can get 16 xp for sniping an animal. And enables Golden Server with a Golden Name in Multiplayer. If I were you I'd get it.

Multiplayer

Single Player can be a piece of cake. Or pie. Or poop. Whatever. One thing Unturned lacks is dedicated servers. So for now you can only play mutiplayer. Unless you have Hamachi or the guy your playing with has a close ip address. You can use hamachi to go into networks then enter ip and password. Hamachi servers are everywhere so just look around. Multiplayer cn be very fun. Wether your playing or communicating with your friends or trolling little kiddies. It can also be a pain in the as*. Multiplayer has something single player doesn't. Bandits. Bandits are groups of people who kill you and take your stuff. Making them much more dangerous than zombies. Now there are two modes in Multiplayer. Number 1 is PVE. Player vs. Environment. Meaning. You don't take damage from your own traps and player killing is dissallowed. This mode is good for friends. Or maybe accidently shooting your friend in the face. But he wouldn't get killed cause it's PVE. Then there's PVP. Where all the bandits go and thrive. In PVP you take damage from your own traps and get killed by other players. Just so you know I've killed 4,198 zombies and 0 players. So you can trust me( you can't trust me). Now you know the dangers of Multiplayer. But it's certainly a lot more fun then single player i tell you that. HOW TO JOIN A SERVER: You can join servers by going onto the community hub. There there are conversations on joining servers. So put down the port.(which is usually 25444) Password and IP address. Note: If you don't know your IP Address you can always look it up. HOW TO MAKE A SERVER. You see that Host button in the play button? Hit it. There you can make your own server. You have a choice to make it PVP or PVE etc.. Or if youv'e tried everything and nothing works then just wait for the 3.0 update. Right now 100% development is going towards Dedicated Servers and Workshop. • A Bridge Too Far: Find The Other Side of A Bridge
• How To Get A Bridge Too Far: Walk On The Confederation Bridge Untill You Hit An Invisible Wall
• A Day in The Sun: Find Someone Having A Good Time
• How To Get A Day In The Sun: Go To Holman Island To Find A Mannequin On Some Cardboard.
• Chess: Find The 2014 Chess Tournament
• How To Get Chess: Go To The Middle of Courtin Island to Find A Table With A Chess Board.
• Hero: Be A Really Nice Person
• How To Get Hero: Kill Someone With A Negative Reputation.
• Bandit: Be A Really Mean Person

What Happens When You Die.

You know dieing is a normal thing in Unturned. Just like in real life. Hundreds of people die every day. But it's a little less sad in Unturned. When you first start out the game, things well not go as planned. You could be mauled by a zombie, bleed to death, explode, starve, dehydration, sickness, all those horrible stuff. So know I'm going to tell you what it's like to die. When you get to 30 to 40 in your health bar you will lose color. When you get below 15 you will start to shake around your arms. Making it difficult to make you zoom in on a gun. You will also lose even more color. Making it look like you have your military NVGs on. And finally. DEATH. When you die you will drop to the floor. You will also see that your stuff is dropped everywhere. Do not dissconnect then reconnect, you will lose all your items. There will also be a taunting message in the middle of the screen saying how you died. Below the message are 2 buttons. 1: Respawn and 2: Home. Respawn is you will respawn in a random place in an island. Home is you respawn at your sleeping bag if you claim it.
