I will most likely upload an updated version of the skin for the new game, though. If the original creator doesn't do it himself this year.
This is still the case after unsubscribing from the skin, manually deleting the files from workshop\content and docs\si\fm23\skins, and resubscribing.
Perhaps a reupload would fix the problem? In any case, thanks for your efforts. :)
I contacted the official support
If you backup all of the things you REALLY don't want to lose, or alternatively just upload them to the cloud, you can uninstall/reinstall the game without any worries.
Before doing that though, I recommend right-clicking the game in your steam library, going into properties and verifying the game files first. That might raise a red flag that can be solved without deleting and downloading the whole game again.
What can I do now? What would happen if I uninstall FM23? Is there a risk that I lose the currently present editors and db?
As well as unsubscribing, make sure you go into your Sports interactive folder (documents > sports interactive > football manager 2023 > skins), and delete it completely from there as well as your workshop folder, wherever that may be. In your workshop you'll be looking for the "1904540" folder and you want to delete the one called "2948774061" if you haven't already.
If the error persists after completely deleting all of the files for the instant result button skin, then unfortunately it is something else causing the problem with your game.
Otherwise, I will look into the issue ASAP and true to figure out what the issue is and how to go about fixing it. Sorry about your problem, hopefully we can get it resolved soon.
I tried several times to unsubscribe and delete your file, but the error still persists!
Also, I haven't made any changes or done anything other than downloading your file, so I don't think the problem could be anything else!!!
I can't play FM 23 anymore :(
It has been working fine for me, but seems to be a common issue that games crash when trying to use mods that haven't been downloaded properly.
First and foremost, I would say double check that everything is downloaded and patched properly. If it is and is still crashing, then unsubscribe from the mod, completely delete the files from your computer and load your game again to see if it is indeed this mod causing the issue.
The mod may well work just fine after removing and downloading again. If your game still crashes after removing the mod, then this mod is not causing any issues.
Please let me know what happens from there and I will look into it :)
