Update: I've now finished act two, and I still love this game!

Respawn-in-place is a great addition for folks like me who no longer have the dexterity to play platformers at a high level, but still enjoy them and - especially for this game - want to see the story. The voice acting is on point, too! It genuinely feels like a game I played growing up - but, of course, it isn't, those games didn't have voice acting, or delightful queer characters. And there's a happy ending, in a way you might not expect!

Oh, and as others have pointed out, it plays great on the Steam Deck too. And on Linux. Works for me on Kubuntu 24.04 right out of the box, no Proton or tweaking needed.
