Survival mechanics, economy rebalance, improved visuals, quality of life fixes, and patches.
Proton and Steam Deck compatible. Updated for patch 2.21 and Phantom Liberty.

Introduction

Under heavy development and currently lacking in much description, this is my personal selection of mods (~30) that improve the experience by adding survival mechanics, economy changes, and making already present but underdeveloped systems more meaningful to game-play.

This mod list is Proton/Steam Deck compatible.

Updated for patch 2.21!

Use this guide[wiki.redmodding.org]for help enabling Cyber Engine Tweaks with Proton/SteamDeck.
Enable Proton experimental or Proton-GE, add the library override for version, install both vcrun2022 and d3dcompiler_47. For RED4ext follow the same process to add a library override for winmm.

Loading movies should be an 'OnFirstRun' event, after which the player should get right to the game they wanted to play. The exclusion of a third person mode in the vanilla game is irksome, considering V has a wardrobe and can collect clothes. And I really hope CDPR makes stash filters a vanilla feature in a future 2.x patch.

My preference is to enjoy the game world, and the world of CP2077 is beautiful. Aside from a center dot and showing the minimap while in a vehicle, I play with all HUD options disabled. The Monochrome Addon optional for Preem Scanner helps pinpoint objects and loot, and Immersive Stamina adds a visual effect to stamina drain similar to the vanilla low health effect.

The amount of NCPD patrolling areas like Westbrook and Heywood, compared to how dangerous and crime-ridden they're portrayed to be seems off to me. Vendor NPCs appear all over night city, but so few of them end up being actual vendors. While the apartments are great to own and visit, and there's a considerable variety of consumables in the game, there's little need for either of them in vanilla gameplay.

Note: Disable Survival System's economy changes via the Mod Settings menu to avoid conflicts with EconomyPunk.

The vehicle gameplay and it's execution will always be a low spot for CP2077, but the city is fun to drive around in. Car Modification Shop feels like a natural expansion on gameplay, and with a few tweaks driving can feel more responsive.

During the opening chase after the rescue (and during the drone chase of the Nomad start) you may need lower difficulty or damage scaling to proceed without flatlining.
