Mod Vision
This mod dedicates to improve Colonial Governments in Victoria 3, on the basis of journals and events, with an overall style emphasizing immersion and generality.


Main Functions
◽As a Recognized Country, Enforce your Colonial Governments on your Unrecognized subjects, leading them to adopt your primary culture and official religion.

◽Several overlord actions to help you interact with your Colonial Governments.

◽Reorganize colonial governments after transfer of suzerainty. (could be useful for the situation of PHI after USA's takeover)

◽As a colonial subject, decolonize your state after independence. (only a basic framework for now)

How to get started?


As a recognized major power (mostly in Europe), subjugate an unrecognized country, then use "Enforce a Colonial Government" overlord action.

Civilizing Mission or Civilization Mission?


"Civilizing Mission" is the correct spelling. This simple mod uses a variant to distinguish itself.

Is this mod euro-centric?


Of course it is, Milord! That's where all my inspiration came from.

However, the action is available for any country that is recognized and hold at least major power status.

Anyway, let's value gameplay before history.

Can AI...


Currently, AI-controlled countries will not establish new colonial government themselves, but they can pick event options, should decolonization and colonial-subject-transfer journal triggers.

Can subjects refuse to become a colonial country?


No. "They have been accepted for you."

How about the compatibility?


This one edits no vanilla file to create the mod, which theoretically means the compatibility would be satisfying.

Do you read comments and feedback?


Not often, unless very often. I can read Chinese, English and... un poco Español.

you could maybe add something in the code to block the recognitions journal or recognize them before government estabvlishment procees finish

Greetings, this modder will tell you what they know.

In 1.8, Paradox added a colonial subject system (Colony/Company-Dominion), which requires the subject to maintain in "Colonial" country type.

It's likely that your subject completes the journal - Earning Recognition, which grants it "Recognized" country type.

Such change of country type will make the former subject type invalid, turning it into an independent state.

To solve the problem without editing the vanilla file, I may have to add an effect to close the journal by force in the next version. But so far I haven't tested if it works.

i dont know why but my colonial gov got released without a event or something.. can u maybe look into that.

是的,目前版本殖民地附庸类型和国家类型绑定起来了,从colonial变recognized就直接会独立。

除了防止它完成,我不知道怎么办呢!有什么想法可以告诉我。

碰到一个问题,我把附庸(泰国)变为殖民领后泰国的寻求认可条目还存在,于是出现了当满足我对他的好感度超过50和其他条件之后我recognized了自己的殖民领然后就独立了:steamhappy:

1.8丰富附属类型后,自定义治理原则的事件我重做了一下,但忘记了处理共和制政府的情况。

目前针对君主制国家的流程应当是最正常丰富的。周末我会小更一下解决这样子。开心玩!

刚订阅这个mod,试了一下,开局选择大不列颠之后,直接对塞拉利昂进行改革。进度条走完之后小弟的政府形式还是傀儡国,而不是殖民政府,这样是正常的吗?而且治理原则这一条的事件没有弹出,除了这个mod之外没有打任何其他mod。

大佬你好,我在游玩时发现一个问题:被转变为殖民政府的附庸国,其威望达到一定程度时会突然独立,该附庸国独立时国际地位为未受认可的主要政权,但政体仍为殖民政府,感觉这个bug问题有点大。

我有两次遇到上述情况,第一次是用日本附庸大清,利用你的mod将大清转变为殖民政府,但经过一段时间投资后大清突然变成独立国家且国际地位为未受认可主要政权。第二次是用大清附庸日本,也是日本变成殖民政府,经过一段时间建设后突然变为独立国家,国际地位也是未受认可的主要政权。请问这个问题您有解决途径吗?
