Armor Basics

A basic look at what there is to know about Armor in Night of the Dead as of Alpha 2.0.6.3

Intro

Offering defensive and offensive benefits, found as loot or crafted in workbenches, Armor should be an essential part of your survival kit.


Head, Body, Gloves, and Boots are craftable in Bone and Iron varieties.

• Rings, Leather Armor and Copper Armor can only be looted
  
• Gasmasks can be crafted in the Mechanical Equipment Workbench after unlocking "Blacksmith" in the Research Table

The Right Fit

Armors come with base stats and coils based on material; extra benefits are randomized, quantity increasing with rarity, and can come with up to 6 empty coil sockets.

Leather and Bone can be upgraded in the Equipment Workbench.
Iron and Copper Can be upgraded in the Mechanical Equipment Workbench.

Upgrades!

Armors upgrade with the same materials as the Inventory bags, boosting defense and reducing weight.
